TRE FORD HEADING TO MARKET
#Elks Quarterback Tre Ford made some interesting comments today on Sports 1440 Sports radio.
#1) Did not decline any package or plays
- Stating he never declined to run any package at Quarterback (in which some media commented on/painting a picture he's not a team guy). Ford did decline to play receiver when he was drafted.
#2) MBT supported Ford
- Mccloud Bethel-Thompson helped Ford in the film room & supported Tre Ford when he was playing. A positive relationship with MBT.
#3) Contact talks with Edmonton
- No contract negotiations with Edmonton to date. Teammates have suggested he should test free agency. Ford is very interested in testing the market. Ford also seemed to have doubts in Simon/Jackson's belief in him as a starting Quarterback.
FYI: the price of most flights do vary according to date and demand. A friend who works in the travel business says the best time to try to book flights is Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
Truth be told, we have not had even one dominant d-lineman this season, and, sadly, that includes Jefferson. No one on the D-line should be safe in the off-season.
You are overestimating their tastes in playmates. They tend to lean towards the ovines.
The blunt truth is that the Bombers won despite the coaches- again, and it is hard to make a living off miracles.
Nothing new there- been going on for the second season. I was addressing the downward spiral for the past two seasons and accelerating. O'Shea's rigidity in repeatedly fielding the same inadequate players when there have been viable alternatives should concern the GM. One bad year is happenstance. Two bad years is a pattern.
