Appearances can be deceptive.
-
They had better hope the board of directors feel the same way.
-
Oh, crap. Do Walters and O'Shea have objectionable body odor that he did not sign here?
-
Same here. Nichols looks to be fragile- emotionally if not physically. There are those who are never the same after a career-threatening injury and Nichols may be one of those.
-
I'm pretty sure he's familiar with it- its how he comes and goes.
-
Damn...now you've put pressure on O'Shea.
-
During the game, there were a couple of instances where Nichols appeared to be close to getting hit and he appeared to freeze- indecisive about what to do. It looked like he was terrified about getting hit. Sure hope he works his way out of this real soon.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
Tracker replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Stringing together a few wins appears to shorten memories in Riderland. I suspect that they would cheer for Idi Amin if he took them to the Grey Cup. -
Our MLB was the human speedbump, Hurl. Enough said.
-
Agreed. The Esks have not been the powerhouse that Edmonton fans have come to expect and Maas has to be feeling heat. However, apart from top-notch receivers, the pipeline to Edmonton has not brought in overall great players of late. That would be on the GM.

You go to The Sun for your news? -
One good game is not enough to take the Bomber defence off the endangered species list.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Oooh....kinky. Actually, erotic is teasing with a feather. Kinky is using the whole chicken.

This sort of win is intoxicating, and not to take anything away from a very good effort by the Big Blue, but the whole Eskie team looked discombobulated. Anyways...onwards.

Williams looked to be in significant distress, and as many here have been predicting, the pounding Reilly has been taking for years looks to be catching up to him and he is not bouncing back up on his feet any more. He is not getting any younger but I think he will be back next week due to better living through chemistry.

Both Wolitarski and Petermann have not only caught passes when they had to, they have punished the d-backs who try to tackle them. Now, if we only had one dominant import receiver of Duke Williams or Roosevelt caliber...
-
This was the game the Bomber faithful have been waiting for and may be the spark needed to propel the team into the playoffs. The Bombers dominated from start to finish. Nichols was not spectacular, but got the job done. Peterman and Wolitarski were major contributors, LaPolice finally used Harris to grind out the clock, and surprise! we did not get out-coached at half-time. Santos-Knox, Roh, Sayles and Loffler were superb. The D-line harassed Reilly all games and when he came out after half-time, he was walking like an old man. The Bomber O-line tightened up when they had to despite giving up a couple of sacks. The Esks are going to be a long time recovering from this beating.
-
The Bombers need to find out which Stamp bird-dog has found all these people, kidnap and drug him. Then pose him in compromising positions with farm animals and use the photos to blackmail him into working for the Bombers.
-
Considering how long we suffered with Hurl, Kuale and screwed-up Willy, I would not expect O'Shea to start doing this sort of thing now.
-
Bombers cannot, repeat, cannot let the Esks build any sizeable (more than 10 points) lead or let the Esk ground game get untracked. If this happens, we will be boned no matter how much time is left on the clock. This team has not shown the ability to fight back from a deficit as in previous years when the games were often won in the last quarter.

So can we start talking about firing MOS yet?
Tracker replied to White Out's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Using your approach, then you could say that the Bombers are undefeated. Skids extend beyond one game and do not, in my view, end with just one (questionable) victory. -

And the Bombers are doing so well. -

One game is not a streak. We are 1 and 4 in our last 5 games (as if I had to tell you). That is a trend and our one win came against a pathetic Alouette team.
