Despite the win against the hapless Larks, I cannot see the Bombers winning more than one, at most two, of the remaining games even if Harris and Demski are back in the lineup. After nearly 50 years of watching, wishing and hoping, I've seen enough to be realistically pessimistic about this year's edition. Our NI talent is very good and the whole team is better than it has shown, but the whole is less than the sum of its parts and its not all Nichols.

Agreed. Considering the pool of football players being churned out in the US with a population of 330,000,000 logic says that it ought to be much easier to find import players than fish in the Canadian draft pool.

Bombers lost because they played like crap and have done so except for a couple of games. Riders have won because they have had games handed to them, save perhaps for the Calgary game. Good teams win consistently, bad teams find ways to lose. Apart from the likelihood of the Bombers missing the playoffs yet again, it really irks me that we are probably going to see the Riders do well enough that we will have to see Jones again next year.

Agreed. Every player is going to have an off-play or off-day but Medlock has proven himself to be the best leg man in the league for years now. My only concern about him is that we need to start grooming a replacement.

Do not lose sight of the fact that we are the only team in the CFL to not have beaten a team with a .500 or better record. No real reason to celebrate just yet.

A few thoughts from last night's game: The only thing the Bombers proved was that they are better than the Al's Nichols was not much better than Manziel, and Manziel was not good at all Bombers still cannot make half-time adjustments to the offence Thompkins can play well in thus league. Harris's brittleness has to be a growing concern. Even if the Bombers manage to make the playoffs, they will be one and done again. Nichols was better but he still ain't good.

FYI: Walby on the pregame show has opined that Nichols has to shine in the first quarter or his confidence and the confidence of the team in him will wilt. Sounds about right, even if dire.

If things do not go well for the Big Blue, you may need to set up a large-bore IV for your libations.

Actually, Asians are such bad drivers that I've often wondered if they bombed Pearl Harbour by mistake.

Manziel has too much raw talent to keep stinking up games and is probably due for a good game one of these days. I just hope it is not tonight and a pissed-off Manziel who is determined to prove he is still NFL caliber could be dangerous.

He will have to have an attitude adjustment, though. Beauty is only skin deep but stupid goes clear through.

The BOD and Walters have to balance the savings of keeping O'Shea around if there is no improvement in the team performance vs what the team will lose if he will be kept, as the honeymoon with O'Shea sure looks like it is over. He has not shown that he can field a team which lives up to its potential or even exceed it.
