  1. 'Cuz no one has to cover for an MLB called Hurl.
  2. Particularly in Montreal.
  3. Mods, please delete the duplicate postings.
  4. Can't wait to see how Manzel reacts to the carnivorous pass rush that he will face. He is going to be harassed on every play.
  5. The answer as to why the Stamps have been so good for so long is simple: Hufnagle, Bo Levi Mitchell and their scouting staff. We are almost there but have to prove it.
  6. The problem with this is that the road to the Grey Cup almost inevitably goes through Calgary, and if the Bombers cannot beat the Stamps, another good season will be another non-championship season.
  7. An all too common use of sex videos is when one party to the relationship wants out and the other who has the video recording uses it to force a continuation of the relationship.
  8. The Riders may put Messam in charge of their video replays.
  9. Can't really see that...
  10. Or put him in charge of scouting
  11. Agreed. Jones may have some creds as a defensive coordinator, but he sucks as someone who oversees the offence. And he is not smart enough to hire a top-notch OC.
  12. Calgary is apparently one of the elite teams and has been for several years but they are heavily criticized for not winning the Cup. The Bombers can win a lot of regular season games, but until they redeem themselves by winning the Grey Cup or at least putting up a darned good fight in a Cup loss, they will be considered also-rans. Its been just too long between drinks.
  13. When the Bombers can beat the Esks and Calgary, they will have the respect of the league, fans and media.I will settle for the Bombers sweeping the Riders in September.
  14. Thompkins has all the attributes necessary to become a star in this league and is going to get better every game.
  15. Good to see Dressler featuring in the Bomber offence after a couple of games where he did not. He is at the point in his career where a replacement needs to be groomed.
  16. Which brings up an interesting question: the Argos were ready for Harris and stopped him short almost every play, yet the Bombers had to know Wilder would feature prominently in the Argo offensive planning. Despite this, Wilder had a great game, breaking off several long runs. Why could the Bombers not stop Wilder as effectively as the Argos did for Harris?
  17. Gotta stir the poop every now and then. Ask Tom Brodbeck.
  18. BC has lost their starting RB for the year to an ACL tear, so.......
  19. In last night's game, Adams threw several longer passes which were darned close and on most of those, the receivers muffed the catches or were in the wrong place.
  20. I listened to James Franklin being interviewed this afternoon on 1290. He came across as intelligent, not egotistical, knowledgeable and with a sense of humour. Overall, he seems to be an asset to his team and league- I hope does well (but not tonight) and is around for a long time.
  21. Muamba was ok, but not worth the money, the Esks were not as overpowering as they ought to have been, and Adams was very good all things considered. I wondered how good he would look behind the Bomber O=line , but it occurred to me that he would be unlikely to supplant Streveler. Chris Jones really messed up by letting Adams go.
  22. From 3Downnation: Lepers (sic)have a hard time changing their spots- Ticats’ Jones says Manziel was behind, alludes to ‘other stuff’ Posted on July 26, 2018 by 3Down Staff // 33 Comments For all the hype surrounding Johnny Manziel, there are still questions about him as both a player and person. In an interview with a Denver radio station, Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach June Jones said that while Manziel’s talents are undeniable, there are other factors to consider. Two months after Manziel signed with Hamilton, the Ticats traded the 25-year-old quarterback to the Montreal Alouettes in a blockbuster deal. While the Ticats organization and Manziel’s teammates were publicly effusive in their praise, there were rumbles that his commitment to the game wasn’t necessarily beyond reproach, that he had been late or missed meetings on more than one occasion.
  23. Bombers ought to have been able to find an upgrade to Bowman working at the nearest 7-11.
  24. There was a bit on Thompkins on 1290 radio yesterday- he sounds like a blue-chip prospect ready and eager to get onto the field. Still, I wouldn't guarantee that O'Shea will not put Lankford in.
