  1. I think it will be a lot closer than most think. The Stamps have a habit of not showing up in the big games,
  2. That's probably a career-ending injury for a good quarterback and a good man.
  3. And that is why they stir the poop- to boost the ratings.
  4. Wow. What a coincidence- a quarterback and his head coach/gm who both have brain problems.
  5. The common factor between the two is Joe Mack, is it not?
  6. Its not that Streveler runs, its that run is a viable option so the linebackers, D-linemen and DB's have to respect that option . If the QB has the options to run, hand off or throw accurately, the opposing defence is at a real disadvantage.
  7. Boy, did Durant ever do the Bombers a solid by screwing them over by not reporting
  8. You forgot to say "tingly, engorged and moist"
  9. What impressed me about Wolitarsky was him carrying Alouette defenders the last few yards into the end zone. Haven't seen that from a Bomber for awhile.
  10. There were so many positives,
  11. I recall that my impression of that game was that the team, especially the defence, went into that game with no hope or expectation of winning, and played that way. It was a sad end to a promising season.
  12. It does happen that the winning team gives up a lot of yardage, but it is fairly rare. It usually a death sentence when the playoffs come and we have seen that too often. I do not see tonight as a redemption game. The team played well enough to win despite a rookie QB last week, and if there is any team that needs to redeem itself, its the Riders.
  13. So far, this isn't just a losing game for the Riders- its a beat-down.
  14. Jones must be frantically looking for Adams' phone number.
  15. Great play by Bridge!!!
  16. Didn't start watching the game until now. The Rider 0-line looks positively lethal- for the Rider QB's. How did the Toronto D-line not eat them alive last week? Harris looks serviceable, the Rider Qb's will be reduced to pulp by game's end.
  17. If speed was all there was to it, that would be fine. To my understanding, playing cornerback has a lot to do with reading the receiver and QB and then positioning self. That implies experience and intelligence, neither of which Carter has shown. It is also interesting that Chris Jones (in his august wisdom) sees him as the easiest receiver to replace.
  18. Are we back to belittling Willy again?
  19. Its been Ok for several years now.
  20. Streveler will serve up a few oopsies as part of his learning, but he still needs all the help he can get from his O-line.
  21. Or the same person?
  22. Hall described the defence as about average- not unacceptable. This sure as spit sounded like the norm, and it definitely looked like the same old. Coaches do not have to name names unless all else fails, but not being honest when your charges serve up yet another sub-par performance and cost the team the win is bush.
  23. That's a hazard in Saskatchewan, where beef and swine are mostly corn-fed.
  24. I'm not sure if this was part of the same interview, but on 1290 this afternoon, Hall was asked his opinion of the play of the defence against the Esks. He said that " the defence played about average"-no argument there, but did not see much of a problem in giving up almost 500 yards of offence, and that a couple of plays made them look worse than they were. It stunned me to hear that this was an acceptable standard and it sounded like every other post-game interview since he got here. Not to worry, O'Shea has his back.
  25. And while Ross is recuperating, he is missing a lot of valuable reps. This could give Bennett and maybe even Gale a chance to blow past Ross in the QB rankings.
