  1. Varlamov is injured- this changes everything.
  2. yup, but it looks like the Jets have been jolted awake
  3. Morrissey just had the stick pulled out of his hands and the Avalanche scores. Jets better wake up right now,
  4. Jets have not been sharp in this game and it just cost them a goal. Colorado looks like they want the game more.
  5. I think we are mostly tending towards depression. Time to change the title of the thread to "Why the Frack is O'Shea Keeping Hall?".
  6. Done properly, it could be profitable, not to mention the PR boost.
  7. And now.....welcome to HOGMANAY!!! Enjoy.
  8. happy new year
  9. He could probably find enough under his sofa's cushions.
  10. Montreal can trade for Collaros conditionally upon Collaros renegotiating his contract to an incentive-based one. That's been done before.
  11. Those who have not travelled in other countries have no idea of the pitfalls there, In South Korea, for example, if a woman tells a cop that a foreigner looked at her in a way that made her uncomfortable, that inevitably will lead to a conviction (the Koreans are xenophobic), a fine of $10,000 or more and/or several years in jail. Plus an international record as a sexual criminal.
  12. Isn't that what Facebook and Twitter are for?
  13. You could well be correct, and we will not know if Loffler can adapt his game until the bullets fly again, but there were too many times when the opposing receiver was unaccounted for and free to run where he chose.
  14. Maybe, but to me it looked like the soft zone and man coverages were largely to blame.
  15. I am not so sure. We've been through two very similar seasons in a row where the team did ok during the regular season only to be let down by the defence in the first round of the playoffs. Next year has to be different.
  16. That would stop the runs up the middle and the 5-8 yard passes but the problem of the explosive 20-30 pass completions remains,
  17. I suspect that the more probable scenario might be that if Hall is returned and the team defence continues to give up the big plays, Hall and maybe even O'Shea will be gone by Labour Day, replaced by God knows who.
  18. I suspect that the longer it takes for us to hear of Hall's fate, the more likely it is that he is being retained. Sad.
  19. I would like to believe that O'Shea is not so rigid in his thinking that he is willing to tie his fate to Hall's and go down with him, but he wouldn't be the first smart coach to make dumb decisions.
  20. My first reaction would not have been allowed in this forum. We can learn to live without Bond, but I do not believe we can live with Hall. If Dougie is correct (and his batting average is pretty good), we have another year of misery to look forward to. Sorry, that should have read "to dread". Fornication.
  21. Wait, what?
  22. Oh boy, and right in the middle of a cold snap in Regina. The insurance policy holder is going to freak.
  23. There are those who maintain that there is always a purpose to drinking gin or Baby Duck, for that matter.
  24. To all and sundry here and otherwhere, in the spirit of the season, my best wishes. May this time of the year and the time to come be filled with peace and the presence of those you love.
  25. Despite the horrible year he had in Montreal, I doubt that any QB would have done much better. I suspect Durant still has tread on his tires and is probably better than anyone we currently have as backup. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in blue and gold- for the right price.
