  1. Even a blind squirrel will find the odd nut and its way too soon to anoint Jones as the stubblejumper messiah.
  2. People do realize that now we have a Macho man and a Gurley man on our roster, right?
  3. This just might have been the most satisfying bomber win this season. They won, of course, and halted the mini-skid but more importantly, apart from the special team kick coverage they corrected the problems form last game. Nichols played what may be the best game he has had in Bomber colours, the D-line got to Jennings a fair bit, the defence rose up when it counted and the O-line kept Nichols upright. The running game worked when it had to, and of course, the two interceptions helped. A lot. Leggat showed his team what talent and guts look like. A great game and entertaining as heck.
  4. Well, damn. That could cost us a playoff berth. The league shifted the games to screw us over.
  5. The panel is paid to hype the game and stir up controversy so as to keep us all breathlessly waiting for the next pronouncement.
  6. Gotcha. Thanks for the info.
  7. From what I could see of the replays, there was no conclusive proof that the ball was torn out of Harris' hands before his butt hit the ground, but even if it was a bum call, the Arcenaux "reception" as he fell out of bounds juggling the ball should have been called.
  8. I would not have been happy had the Bombers lost, but it was a heckuva entertaining game.
  9. I thought O'Shea had lost only one challenge.
  10. Nope. But O'Shea deserves a boot to the head for not challenging Arcenaux's alleged catch when he went out of bounds juggling the ball. Second game in a row when Mikey was asleep at the switch.
  11. Nichols played a good, solid game too. He keeps getting better and better.
  12. Lions D-line is suspect, but their linebackers are very good. Their secondary is likely better than our receivers, so a strong running game to keep Jennings off the field may be our best bet. Jennings is still gunning the ball rashly so an interception or two is possible, so they may well decide to run at the Bombers, and I still have little confidence in Bass as a MLB.
  13. 45 minutes to kickoff! Time for the Bombers to reward the faithful and skin the lions.
  14. You forgot to use the sarcasm font.
  15. Agreed- cocaine was legal and readily available at pharmacies at one time and chocolate was banned. But we are talking about stuff that will get you in trouble.
  16. The difference is that alcohol, nicotine and caffeine are all socially acceptable (in moderation) and legal. Buying illegal drugs fuels criminals and people die.
  17. A turnover is really valuable when you can make points off the turnovers, and the Bombers have not been able to do that consistently. That could make the difference today.
  18. This is yet another "must win" game. Bombers must pressure Jennings, contain BC receivers and for God's sake- don't fall behind in the first half or the game will be lost. If the Bombers lose, the rails will be greased on a downhill slope.
  19. Barker and Millanovich have gone all-in with this move, and if things do not improve soon, someone's head will be on a pike out front.
  20. I'm pretty sure that Denmark's presence was largely responsible for a couple of wins. He had earned his keep- Smith, meh.
  21. Nah. Just wear the gitch after inverting them if/when you shower.
  22. No. He might mess in his drawers.
  23. According to 3downnation, Chad Owens has been parked for the year, so Gurley would be of great interest to them.
  24. Personally, I would prefer BC receiver Manny Armoir.
  25. As pumped as I was about the last Bomber acquisition, I am equally pessimistic about the net result of the lack of signing Gurley. Eve if Adams comes back in short order, he will still not be in game shape for another game or three, and the horse will be way out of the barn by then. The Bombers will probably still make the playoffs as a crossover, but if they lose three of the next four games, that would make one win in six games and that would be a recipe for disaster. To regain credibility, the Bombers must finish strongly.
