  1. I'm betting that neither Wild nor Andrew Harris will take the field against the Esks. We're going to miss Wild more than Harris- Wild might have made the difference between a loss and a win against Calgary. I love that Walters continues to try to improve the talent, but do we really need yet another import O-lineman?
  2. Much as I have distaste for Muamba's antics, he would simultaneously be a stud MLB and an instant answer for our injury-depleted NI talent. He would also make Hurl expendable.
  3. Harsh, but it makes the point to Bomber players about massive brain cramps. I suspect we will hear about the neg-list player as soon as he agrees to report. Likely a receiver but it might even be a quarterback.
  4. Judging how Wild left the field, I am unsure of he will actually play against the Esks.
  5. Bowman didn't contribute an awful lot in his last game- reminded me of his worse Bomber days.
  6. A lot of guys can catch and a lot can run and catch but catching in traffic without suddenly developing alligator arms are pretty rare.
  7. Fixed that for you.
  8. Unless you have old-timer's disease.
  9. Maybe he wasn't a legit receiver.
  10. Definitely fowl play here.
  11. Davis looks to be the more promising of the two- size, good body control, decent speed and fights for the ball. Duncan looks to be a Dressler/Smith clone who is a speed merchant.
  12. Again, I am going from memory, but did not Mitchell pick on Johnson during the final drive when the Stamps got into position to to kick the winning field goal?
  13. So......you can remember dinosaurs?
  14. Perception or reality, in the last game it sure looked like every time Mitchell needed critical yardage, he victimized Johnson.
  15. And gives us more to kvetch about. Much appreciated.
  16. Maybe we could get a flock of Mallards to fly over the stadium immediately after the inducktion while Bud has his 12 gauge handy. Kill two birds at the same time, so to speak.
  17. You know that you are old when you go for your yearly physical and get referred to a paleontologist.
  18. I would almost be willing to have the Bombers lose that game if they were able to level Mitchell a few times.
  19. Absolutely agree. Can't remember which running back said it, but he said that he didn't need the best blockers in the league to get his yardage, just one who were consistent. All sports are the same with blown calls by the zebras, but the lack of consistency infuriates the fans, coaches and managers. I do not see how that can be reduced to zero errors, but it ought to be able to get better. In the Sask-Hammy game there was a very controversial call on the 'cats center for rocking/moving the ball prior to the snap, but apparently there was at least one instance when the Rider center did exactly the same thing with no whistle. That pretty much cost the 'Cats the game and I can only imagine Austin's meltdown when he reviewed the game films,
  20. Bo-Levi came across as a whiny spoiled brat. If he is afraid to get hit and nattered at, he ought to stay on the dressing room.
  21. Apparently it is not a secret that the Bombers both sucked and blew in the first half against Calgary, that Johnny Adams suffered a massive brain cramp and the "special teams" were anything but for the first half.
  22. I think it cost us the win at both ends of the game- in the whole first quarter and in the last couple of minutes.
  23. The prospect of the Riders beating the Argos fills me with mixed feelings- like seeing your car being driven off a cliff by your mother-in-law.
  24. Just wait. Flanders opened a lot of eyes with his performance in that game and is now a known commodity.
