The Rider organization is imploding, just as the Bombers did under Kelly, Sleepy Joe Mack, Burke, etc. They are reaping what they have sown through arrogance and wallowing in their misery says more about those who do than it does about the Riders. The Rider fan base have their share of jackholes but most are pretty much like us here and are mortified and angry. We can either gloat or show some class.

Yup. Beware. It was said of old, "Curb your dogma and drive your karma".

A note of caution about excessive gloating over the Riders' woes- what goes around comes around.

The reality is that -Nichols has sparked the team, -the defence has fulfilled its training camp promise (almost by accident but it still counts) an- - our quarterback played his worst game in three outings and we still won. Nichols ought to keep getting better, particularly if he keeps seeing the same set of receivers and O-line.

That dropped pass Davis had last night was the worst of his boo-boos but not the only one. I do not recall him being all that good with Willy.

If Nichols goes down and the fate of the season falls onto Willy, I have little confidence that he will be any better than his .250 previous record, which will be disastrous. I hope to heck that the coaching staff is grooming the heck out of Davis and Bennett. They might be the future- Willy has proven he is not.

Kris Adams has shown enough flashes of potential that he is worth being patient for. Darvin Adams needs to want the ball a lot more, and Jace Davis has done little to warrant keeping.

I suggest the title of this thread to "Yes, yes it WAS Willy".

We will have no excuse to lose the Boatmen.

I know what I will think, and it will not be kind to O'Shea. Harris sounds like a good guy to have on the team, but any time you can replace an import with an equal or better Canuck, that's a no-brainer.

It would be great if the Bombers can steam-roll the Argos rather than edging them out. The Argos are a weakened team and should be very beatable.

The whole thing is quite understandable, really. The Riders are so bad at math that they cannot even tell the difference between 12 and 13, so numbers higher than that really addle them.

Yet somehow, they are still in the game.

Esks should still be able to comfortably walk all over Montreal. The Als are hurting and wracked with internal problems. Ain't nobody happy there.

I think the proper penalty would be a loss of salary cap double what the Riders spent off the books. And that ought to be applied this year.

The 'lack of talent" argument goes only do far. O'Shea has made a lot of mistakes in assessing and using talent, choosing subordinates and managing the team on-field that his future should be far from certain here.

That sounds painful.

I also feel for Ripper and most Rider fans. The team we love and follow can`t win every game, or even compete in every game, but real fans want their team to conduct itself with fair play and dignity. The Murphy/Jones cabal is not only failing to win, it is opening the Riders to ridicule and condemnation. Those of us who still wake up screaming from nightmares of the debacles of the Mike Kelly regime know your frustration, anger and pain. And yours is just beginning.

Both teams are so much changed that its hard to guess who looks better on paper or on the field. Its a crapshoot, but we ought to be competitive.

Bass is improving game by game I would trade him for Mulumba in a heartbeat.

The Rider defence of "well, everyone does it" is laughable. Try that in traffic court the next time you get tagged for speeding.

You don't have to "hire" them....there are other ways to slip money to these players. Still, is a crime not a crime if it is done only a few times as opposed to many times? Whose hands are clean, and does the degree of cheating determine if it is cheating or not?

Houses of ill repute no doubt.

Awfully decent of them to take in the homeless and indigent.
