  1. I am not defending or promoting Tillman, but it may be of value to know that we all have no-so-comfortable impulses which we keep under control due in no small part to social inhibition. However, some substances, like alcohol, pot and others act as dis-inhibitors and wipe out all the "don'ts" in our heads non-selectively when we take them. I have a very staid friend who is a professional and cannot down even one shot of booze, because suddenly "we're all going to Vegas" and she's paying. My brother in law is a good guy but after about three drinks he becomes a misogynistic anal aperture and is mortified afterwards.
  2. Fixed that for you.
  3. So.... you're saying that the liquor stores are conspiring to keep the Bombers pathetic?
  4. And "oval" is still considered a shape.
  5. I see what you did there....
  6. At this late date? Oh well, better late etc..
  7. Screw all this- I want to hire the people who found Collaros, Gale and Harris.
  8. I have an odd feeling that we have a chance against the Esks. Their secondary must still be suffering PTSD after that shelling last game so if we can get off to a good start and hem Reilly in, we ought to be able to keep it close. If we get blown out, we're probably looking at a 4 and 14 season.
  9. This has gone way past the point of disaffected fans pissing and moaning, and if the team is not in crisis, it is darned close. O'Shea and probably Walters have reached the point of being unable to redeem themselves. The fans have begun to vote with their feet and should the Bombers get mangled in Edmonton (a likelihood) then the next home game will feel like a wake. If Miller and/or Walters haven't figured this out yet, then they are also part of the problem.
  10. Slack was one of the fiercest competitors to ever take the field for the Bombers, but his knees just couldn't last. Slack could stare holes right through any receiver or lineman who blew his assignment.
  11. Well, if you are looking for a statistical condemnation of the current coaching regime, here it is. A whole ocean of ineptness.
  12. That is what the Illuminati would have you believe- the reptilian bastards.
  13. Yup. And he's still here.
  14. I would guess we are about 5-6 players away from competing for the playoffs: quarterback, two O-linemen, one defensive end, a middle linebacker, and two d-backs. Probably one, maybe two receivers as well.
  15. We are several players away from making a run at the payoffs, and you can put lipstick on that oinker if you like.
  16. The Als are talent-poor and even if they wanted Medlock, they probably couldn't fit him in under their cap. So, even if they could get creative with their finances, there isn't much on their roster to pick though.
  17. You may wish to stock up on tissues. And keep sharp objects well out of reach.
  18. The Feep today was pretty critical of Willy's attitude as well.
  19. Or, just replace the mother with someone willing to put out. 300 million people in the US of A- there has to be better players but we don't seem able to find the Sinkfields ourselves but have to wait for table scraps.
  20. We have receivers who can make a great catch, and we have receivers who can consistently catch the ball. Unfortunately, they are not the same people.
  21. He is this year's designated liability who keeps getting put in regardless. Like Kuale and Hurl.
  22. Green has made more than one real bone-head play and I didn't think he was that good so as to excuse his brain cramps.
  23. I also thought Hubbard looked promising, so his demotion is a puzzlement. But then, there have been a lot of those this season. And the previous season. And the season before that. Ad nauseum.
  24. When I was watching the Toronto-Montreal game and not that emotionally invested in it, I had time to be more detached and objective. I watched both Ray and Glenn after each play and the difference was remarkable. As the players were gathering themselves after the plays, Ray was ordering them into position and urging them to hustle, whereas Glenn let everyone sort of wander back to where they should be. I don't recall seeing much of that generalship from Willy of late, if he ever did. That sure looked like the difference between being competitive and just being there.
  25. The Argos may be there soon. If their backup struggles and Hajrullahu does not improve dramatically, I could see Willy and Medlock going to Toronto but I'm not sure who we would want back- a first rounder plus Coombs?
