  1. Today on 1290 radio, Lawless stated categorically that LaPolice would be named as the new OC with the Bombers. Apparently he still live in Winnipeg.
  2. Okay, at the risk of permanently getting labelled as pathologically raging at O'Shea and Walters, I have to vent. Firstly, all the bitterness fired at DesJardins, Chris Jones etc etc sure sounds like pure, unadulterated envy mixed with resentment that the Bombers aren't even in the playoffs, let alone in the Grey Cup game. Secondly, I have been both skeptical and ticked at the reports leaking out of the Bombers that the crew of assistant coaches that O'Shea was forced to start the 2014 season were off the scrap-heap of CFL coaches because the Bombers had such a terrible rep that no one wanted to come here. It seems to me more far more likely that potential assistant coaches took one look at the Walter/O'Shea tandem and knew that it was going to be a disaster that they wanted no part of. We shall see what 2016 will bring, and I am pretty sure it ain't gonna be good for us.
  3. Well, fork it all anyways.
  4. Lets agree to cheer for the team which has the most Bomber alumni.
  5. In a week's time after a great Grey Cup game, all the angst will be fading, but the concerns for the upcoming season with the usual suspects at the helm will remain.
  6. Now what possible reasons could we have to change the coach or GM? Silly person.
  7. The Bomber brain trust were whining about the effect of all the changes their O-line went through and how it contributed to their downfall, but Calgary's situation was worse and they STILL look and perform better than the Bomber O-line did all year. And we had a vaunted O-line coach, too.
  8. No. Still out with suspected concussion effects. I think he's done, would be surprised if he's back next year. A good chance this is so, and too bad for a good guy and dominant player.
  9. More money too. Federal employee bucks! Least they were smart and let a bad franchise die for a while. Took years to get that stench out.
  10. No. Still out with suspected concussion effects.
  11. Perfect footyball weather in Edmonton (+7). Ought to be another entertaining game, and I am still picking the Esks by 7.
  12. No matter who you were cheering for, it was a helluva game and just what the CFL East needed.
  13. And the Ottawa RedBlack fairy tale continues for another week.
  14. Hank is having the best season of his career and Ottawa seems to be the team of destiny in 2015. Ottawa in a boring game decided in the 4th quarter.
  15. Stamps lose to Esks in a low-scoring dogfight. Messam a factor for Calgary but cannot do it all by self.
  16. Every five million counts.
  17. I wonder if the quarterback's life flashed before his eyes as he called for the snap.
  18. Now you've done it. Chapdelaine is assured to be here, and you will have no one to blame but yourself. If I had that power, Reinbold would have been the coach and GM of the Riders since 1999 and Mike Kelly would be running the Stamps, while Jim Daley ran the Eskimos. This obviously works on the same principle as talking out loud about your goalie getting a shut-out. It doesn't work on other teams, just on your own. And you will still be to blame.
  19. You had a truly depraved childhood.
  20. Now you've done it. Chapdelaine is assured to be here, and you will have no one to blame but yourself.
  21. We are given memory that we might have roses in winter.
  22. Would that make it "tragically hip"?
  23. That's the beauty of the salary cap- it puts all the teams on an equal footing (barring some creative player funding) and there is no reason the Bombers can't be competitive, particularly if they dump some deadwood (I'm looking at you, Picard).
  24. Harris could sign here for $10,000 less and still live better. Vancouver is a great cosmopolitan city with an incredibly diverse assortment of stores and restaurants downtown, but you gotta have the bucks. Harris's career isn't going to last forever and I would bet his post-CFL life would be a lot better here.
  25. Maas definitely has the fire on the sidelines and I have been impressed by his ability to build the offense around Burris.
