  1. Big enough to have his own area code.
  2. Goossen looked no worse than Picard every time he has gone in all season. Shoulda happened in July.
  3. Popp's thinking is that Glenn will give the Al's a year to groom Cato who looks like the heir-apparent . A smart if obvious move.
  4. I would bet that Mr. Messam felt out of place in a small city like Regina, and would have been gone at the end of the year anyways. The Rider faithful were likely chafing that McCallum had to be brought back to a team that dumped him so unceremoniously.
  5. The Stamps have a rider on a horse who gallops up & down the sideline after a Calgary touchdown. The redblacks have a guy dressed as a lumberjack cut through a log with a chainsaw. Lame. Lame. Lame. Ummm people, we have a guy riding a lawn tractor with wings... Lawn tractors don't go that fast. It's a golf cart. Obviously you haven't been following lawn tractor racing. They can hit 100 kph or more.
  6. I'm just disappointed that Walters didn't make the trade which would have turned the Bomber season around.
  7. And it only took several months for the coaches to realize what most here knew long ago. The "injury" seems very convenient.
  8. http://www.tsn.ca/who-could-use-kevin-glenn-at-the-cfl-trade-deadline-1.376235 Nailed it.
  9. That's a reference to a certain member of the Possum Lodge.
  10. Glenn may be a good fit for the Alouettes- he will have a decent O-line, good receivers and consistent if not great coaching. Glenn has been the target of some unfair criticism's and if not for a broken arm, he would have had a Grey Cup ring. He has kept his bitching to a minimum even when shuttled around through no fault of his own. He has the charisma of a shovel but he is fundamentally sound.
  11. Fixed that for you. Mustn't be sexist, you know.
  12. Anyone is vulnerable to be traded if the deal is good enough, but Hajrullahu has all kinds of potential, and he's young, but his stock has fallen dramatically over the season, so we probably wouldn't get a good NI starter back for him anyways. Who else besides Sask and Ottawa needs a kicker?
  13. I believe it should be 10 days (to clear waiver) after his release so it would be next Sunday. Probably will be too late for us this year, but he would be at least as welcome as Westerman.
  14. If I recall correctly O'Shea dialed it up for one game last year as well at which time many were convinced he'd turned the corner. Unfortunately that was an illusion and he reverted to the same passive/aggressive Mike we have seen most of this season. In the post-game interview with Bob Irving, Mike said that "play-off mode" could not be sustained over a number of weeks if it wasn't actually true, stating that it was "too much" to ask the players to believe it week after week. I think O'Shea in some ways is too honest with his players and lacks the acting skills necessary to play the heavy motivator to get an elevated performance out of this team. The D seems to be responding to the challenge but the O is still floundering and doesn't seem to have the ability to rise to the next level even if they wanted to. O'Shea said that the players could not be expected to crank it up enough to challenge for a playoff spot for more than a short period?!?!?!?
  15. I'm worried the Als trade for Glenn this week. That'd make them the favourites for the last playoff spot. If the Als had any kind of decent quarterbacking today, they could have won. Even Cato would have given them a chance, so maybe Kevin Glenn should start packing.
  16. So long as our fate is in our hands, we will have nothing to complain about. If it gets to the point where you have to hope other teams screw up worse than you do, you are in trouble.
  17. Harris certainly didn't look as dominant this year as previously, so either he is not being used properly, his heart is not in it, or his O-line sucks (there's a lot of that going around). He would be welcome here for sure.
  18. So long as Bellefeuille is calling the offense, we will never know how good Nichols can be. It has to be really chafing for a decent quarterback to be forced to run a popgun offense when he can see how better plays could make big yards and win games.
  19. Dare we hope? I volunteer to drive down, pick him up and ferry him back to the "Peg.
  20. There was really no reason for Lirim to be replaced until last week. Hajrullhu was getting worse each successive week. Last game was just a progression.
  21. Nope. Stevedore Steve.
  22. And it took how long for this to come to pass?
  23. haha you think some drunken fans get rowdy during losses now... imagine this scenario! But it would make for some memorable games, even if the Bombers lost badly.
  24. This is not a given. Ottawa can field a playoff team as a two year old expansion and other teams have turned things around in a couple of year with the right people in charge, so who knows? If Tillman returns and the Riders make the playoffs next year, I will be apoplectic.
  25. Oooh! Oooh! Oooh! Pick us! Pick us!
