  1. Yep some people are ignoring those things...probably because they have absolutely no bearing on this conversation. You can't apply generalities across the board as if they are absolutes. You judge MOS solely on his body of work, and with the facts you have, if you are the Bombers....certainly not on historical data. If we ignore History, we're doomed to repeat it. That's what my high school teacher told me.
  2. Nope. That was the Fat Lady commemorating the Bomber season.
  3. Just because the offense came alive for 30 minutes last game against Edmonton does not change the overall picture. Why should it take until this late in the season to be able to identify a defensive scheme and compensate??
  4. There is too much raw potential to give up on Hajrullahu just yet. Get him some specialized coaching from Bob Cameron or whoever but sit him down for the rest of the season. Maybe even have a hard look at that kicker on Calgary's practice roster.
  5. There comes a point where "moral victories" are as debilitating as the non-moral kind. We need help in several areas that are self-apparent.
  6. I gotta ask you, have you seen that blowout-loss team, since the backup quarterbacking has improved? And the team record since Nichols' arrival has been.....?
  7. There is no "agenda". The facts and record speak for themselves. I was a cautious supporter of O'Shea for the first year, less so after the team faltered once again this year. O'Shea keeps repeating the same mistakes, mistakes that a good coach does not.
  8. And when its time to cut the grass, you cut it at the top first. If the entire team, or close to it, is a mess that has to say something sad about whoever is supposed to be leading it.
  9. If you can't remember, just admit it. Sheesh.
  10. Yeah, he wouldn't have helped, especially late when we needed a stop. I wonder if he regrets his decision to not come here after that loss by the Blue yesterday. The Bomber defence was good enough. The offense was comatose for the first half and a bit. Muamba wouldn't have changed that, and the Eskies' running game was not what did us in.
  11. When you have more blowout losses than wins, that ought to be enough to tell you everything you need to know.
  12. There's an important optical that has surfaced once again and this time its Hajrullahu. I am not advocating that we take out the blindfold and cigarette but this is yet another instance where the Bombers (and I am assuming that O'Shea is responsible) have allowed a painfully obvious struggling player or coach to continue even when the evidence is overwhelming that a change was/is needed. Hajrullahu has been getting worse and worse with no repercussions and Bellefeuille continues to underwhelm. And then there was our "middle linebacker" last year and Chevon this year, etc. Is there a pattern here?
  13. Listening to Rod Black blathering while the Bombers lose yet another game has to constitute cruel and unusual punishment or adding insult to injury. Or both.
  14. In Saturday's Free Press, Lawless opined that the Bombers ought to extend O'Shea's contract. For what its worth (aka: not much).
  15. of whom? the Riders?
  16. The names change but the post-mortem keeps sounding the same.
  17. That's about 20 minutes sooner than usual.
  18. But how many times was Nichols pounded and/or hurried into throwing the ball away?Oddly enough, after Neufeld went out, the line settled down a bit and he (Nichols) seemed to stay upright .. Goosen at LG .. Capers at RT.. First half especially, untouched defenders teeing off on Nichols. Brutal. That has nothing to do with adjustments. However if our kicker does his job today, 33 points is something I might have a hard time using as evidence to add to the already collected evidence thus far that supports canning our OC. Just focusing on today in isolation, this game is not on MB. You're going to have a hard time getting a lot of people who watched the first half to believe that.
  19. But how many times was Nichols pounded and/or hurried into throwing the ball away?
  20. Given O'Shea's blind and irrational loyalty to his people, I would not consider that a certainty.
  21. Nichols was darned near as good as Reilly today, better if you factor in all the dropped balls. Willy may be a lot more brittle than he ought to be and next season will tell, so we ought to make a real effort to keep Nichols.
  22. I wasn't as upset at this loss as I have been at earlier ones. I guess it has come down to no longer expecting the Bombers to win, and its all downhill from here. How do you motivate a team which is obviously no longer in the hunt?
  23. This has to be a package deal- Bellefeuille, O'Shea and the O-line coach. Who made the decision to keep starting Hajrullahu even though he has been getting worse and worse throughout the season? Another bad personnel decision in a long string of them.
  24. Muamba was good. Very good, in fact, but I share your distaste for his traveling road show.
  25. Odd that the curtain seems to be coming down for both CFL gurus Popp and Buono.
