A turnover is really valuable when you can make points off the turnovers, and the Bombers have not been able to do that consistently. That could make the difference today.

This is yet another "must win" game. Bombers must pressure Jennings, contain BC receivers and for God's sake- don't fall behind in the first half or the game will be lost. If the Bombers lose, the rails will be greased on a downhill slope.

According to 3downnation, Chad Owens has been parked for the year, so Gurley would be of great interest to them.

Personally, I would prefer BC receiver Manny Armoir.

As pumped as I was about the last Bomber acquisition, I am equally pessimistic about the net result of the lack of signing Gurley. Eve if Adams comes back in short order, he will still not be in game shape for another game or three, and the horse will be way out of the barn by then. The Bombers will probably still make the playoffs as a crossover, but if they lose three of the next four games, that would make one win in six games and that would be a recipe for disaster. To regain credibility, the Bombers must finish strongly.

The reason why Willy's play has been so bad is almost irrelevant- he is what he is, and what he is is broken.

If O'Shea is happy with the current group of receivers, he ought to be pee-tested.

Willy has to show that he is worth bringing back to training camp next year, and so far, he has shown a few flashes but nowhere near consistently promising. That said, the rest of the Argo season is really an extended audition for players.

Considering the state of the Argo offence in general and their quarterbacking in particular, I wouldn't put too much weight on the receivers' performance of late.

This is a move of absolute desperation and if I were the GM, I would want to know how it was allowed to come to this. If true, it didn't happen overnight.

I have never seen a team sack pretty much all their receivers in one swoop. If we wait a couple of days, we might get a certain Winnipeg ex-pat player for free.

This would have happened a lot sooner if his career wasn't in a Gray area.

If the Bombers lose the next game, I can see them falling to 5th place in the rankings- maybe even lower.

According to 3downnation, the Tigr-Cats have the hots for both Hazleton and Gurley. Should be an interesting next day or two.

Which Wednesday? If Gurley does show, if he immediately badmouths the Argos, he is trouble.
