  1. Ironically enough, the arms of Marve and/or Harris will probably decide the game tomight. Harris is the most effective passer in the league at the moment, and Toronto will try to keep Marve in the pocket and force himto try to beat them with his passing as opposed to his run and/or throw approach. If we cannot get pressure on Harris (and his O-line is not great), its going to be a long evening for the secondary.
  2. Actually, I thought LeFevour didn't look too bad in his outings.
  3. And He has blessed us richly with your departure.
  4. I've seen better throws after administering a charcoal emetic.
  5. Welcome aboard. Don't take anyone here (or anything) too seriously. Nobody is getting out of here alive but the Bombers will live on.
  6. Just because Stoudemire is ineffective, is that any reason to replace him as kick returner?
  7. Barring the unexpected, Sask will continue to occupy the basement of the CFL rankings for a while yet.
  8. As nice as it would be to win against Toronto, I would be at least moderately ok if Marve at least shows that he is capable of leading the team with authority, We are way overdue for an upset win from a rookie QB. We need hope for the future if not this year and we sure as spit better not outcoached again.
  9. You're exactly right... and that's what leads me to believe there isn't a huge discrepancy in an o-line coach when it comes to coaching up the fundamentals.... I would suspect most o-line coaches know how to teach fundamentals... it's more a matter of system and that points to the OC.... DelMonaco with Dickensen is going to be a lot more successful that DelMonaco with Crowton/Bellefiuelle... and maybe Wylie is only slightly better than DelMonaco in that role... is/should Wylie be more involved in system and game planning? Pretty obvious that someone should be more involved in game planning when it comes to QB protection.
  10. You're not old until you start being afraid to buy green bananas or underwear in a six-pack because one might be enough.
  11. More reason to hope from those six plays of Marve's than in Brohm's entire two years, but the past is the past. Friday is yet to be.
  12. Does this mean he will have trouble getting a ride out of town?
  13. There has been a lot of criticism of Bomber coaching and management over the past few years, and deservedly so. Some of us drank the Joe Mack and Mike Kelly Kool-Aid and followed them right over the cliff as they destroyed or at least badly damaged our beloved and once-proud Bombers. Most here picked up on the warning signs in both regimes early but were intially roasted. As time went on and the deterioration became too obvious to ignore, the "hang 'em" chorus grew well before they were sacked. Therefore, call 'em as you see 'em, but just post them as your opinions.
  14. I am racked with dread in anticipation of the Classic and Banjo Bowls this year. All we can do is hope Smith and Marve get their games together in time to prevent a couple of 10-6 games.
  15. Stoudamire has had mistakes and the mistakes have been at the worst possible times. That is why people are complaining. And we need more than one good play every couple of games from our kick returner plus, his brain cramps have been disasterous. He is not a rookie and is almost single-handedely killing our field position.
  16. Crap. Hope it is not so. We just do not need any more bad news.
  17. The truth is that we really don't know why Brohm isn't as good as he ought to be just as we didn't know about Max Hall's personal issues until it all hit the fan. Maybe Brohm is salvageable and God knows that more teams than us saw something in him worth pursuing. One way or another, I have little doubt that his replacement on the roster has been the subject of more than one discussion in the Bomber sanctum santorum.
  18. If I were the Bombers and Marve can execute it, I would be tempted to go no-huddle for at least the first few plays to unsettle the TO defence. Argos will be expecting Marve to run and will have their linebackers up tight to the line, so the 5-8 yards slants, crossing patterns and hooks ought to be open a lot. Their safety will probably be brought up for coverage in that area, so if Veltung can break one up and out and Marve can hit him, we should get a few good gains.
  19. If we had an even average offence, we would have beaten both Calgary and Hamilton in hte last go-around. Hall is doing the best he can with what he has.
  20. Sad to say, unless Marve is as good as we hope, we may be out of the playoff picture by mid-September, and if our offence still sucks at that point, we may as well tie the can to Bellefeuille. I suspect the end will come a little sooner for Chamblin.
  21. Agreed. Brohm has had enough chances to prove he is a keeper and has shown nothing. He is just taking up space and if we cannot find someone better, that would be a sad state of affairs. Canning Brohm and possibly Stoudemire would send a message to the rest of the team that they need to perform or else.
  22. The plays will be called based on the visions he has after each line he snorts Worse yet, the sight of all those lines on the field would really distract him.
  23. You don't think Walters brings in an NFL cut? The odds are overwhelming that any QB we bring in will either not be able to adapt or will be unable to pick up the game quickly enough to be an asset this season.
  24. As much as I would love to see Khari back here, I believe he was offered an OC job before and declined, preferring to wait for a HC gig. On the other hand, if he was an assistant coach, he could well inherit the head coach job if O'Shea doesn't survive.
