We could use a variation of Apu's slogan: "Now almost 90% life-threatening problem free". Anyways, we should all be grateful for this hitting the fan now- what would we have to kvetch about otherwise?

I agree. If he keeps this up he may wake up one day and find himself writing a sports column at the Sun. Hey, now. That's hitting way below the belt. Have pity.

The general contractor, architect and engineering firm are all national companies. They are forced to hire unionized workers, regardless of who the best trade for the job may be. Funny, I always thought that whether you are unionized or not, you still had to pass the same standards to be qualified as a journeyman. Ooops. Sorry. More logic. Have to pass the same standards yes. Union labour is not unqualified labour. If you are going to make an argument against unionized labour it would be that it generally costs more and is less productive. If you are forced to hire unionized workers then you can only hire out of union shops. That takes many very good companies out of play as options for subcontracting. It narrows down and limits options and effects cost control. That's just straight up logic for you. When cost control is effected, so too will the final product. Your logic is flawed. You are positing that the lowest labour cost determines the best quality and the lowest overall cost- that is not a given under any circumstances. In most cases, the wages will be the same for a similarly qualified tradesman because a journeyman will take his/her talents elsewhere if inderpaid. You are also assuming (probably falsely) that the issues with the stadium are due to poor workmanship, and nowhere is that categorically stated- the issues appear to be poor design, and that comes out of the non-union offices of the architect and engineering firms. Moreover, the supervision on the site would have been the purview of the construction mangers, and I would bet they are also non-union. Being unionized is no guarantee of good results, but neither is is being non-unuon.

A slagging of rider priders by a Ticat (I think anyway) fan..

You did see that the Coyotes are playing the Ducks in that game. What they have to do with each other is the Getzlaf brothers. I did see that the Coyotes were playing the Ducks in that game. I'll be waiting for DC to announce a Bomber roadtrip to St.Louis to watch Willard Reaves' son play. LOL Bit of a difference since SK doesn't have a team of their own. I'm not entirely sure that Arizona has a professional hockey team, either. -

And don't forget about Crump and Czap,

@RennieCurran53: Excited to join my fellow #Dawgs March 21st for some football and fun at the #ESM camp in Roswell!… Well, there's the answer- he's in Roswell to meet the mother ship.

He was barely good enough in Sask, even when he was at his best.

That would have been John Matuszak of the Raiders. Before he would go out partying, he would call ahead and reserve a hospital room. -

If he gets cut and wants to join the Bombers, I volunteer to drive down and pick him up. -
Forde has dual citizenship from birth so under the new CBA he qualifies as a national. Forde is the hybrid example. Like a Prius?

Spit. Maybe Mulumba will still fall back into our laps, but whatever it takes to pry Gaydosh out of Hamilton, it would probably be worth it. -

What of his brother Wang? -
Finally, the Pall over the Bombers has been removed.
-
My guess is yes, he's won a lot of contests. lol ....and scared a lot of children. Not to mention a fair number of livestock.
-
Cold weather will do that.
-
He apparently did put on more weight coming into the 2013 season. Probably by taking Viagra before getting onto the scale.
-
Its a great signing if you know for sure that Durant is not going to be effective any more and also that Sunseri and whomever else are going to suck. Let the Rider fans gloat. If they are looking to Glenn to lead them to the promised land, they are going to be wandering in the wilderness for a while yet.

Hurl's speed may make him better suited to be an outside linebacker, and if Muamba returns, we're all set for years.
-
You're assuming the Riders could have kept Hurl. You can't force a player to re-sign and you can't assume the Riders "let him walk" either. It's certainly a possibility that Hurl told the Riders to sod off so he could try to follow Richie Hall here. It would be safe to assume that Hall's input to O'Shea would have been sought before signing Hurl, so Hurl may well have underutilized talents as a linebacker.
-
I hope that we don't put all of our eggs in one basket with Hurl at MLB. I see that as a critical position, andas much as I would love to see a Canuck MLB of the O'Shea grade emerge here, I would rather have a dominating import than a mediocre non-import.

Or, if that doesn't come to pass, "Willy Cut"
