It's obvious that Reilly wasn't going to have a long term CFL career, but Jones is doing everything he can to expedite that process. Which brings the pocket passers vs. scramblers debate to mind... The best is the intelligent use of a QB scramble who has the pass as the usual first option, but can roll out with the option to pass or run a few times during the game. It seems to me that QBs who see themselves running as at least an equal option every play get beat up real fast.

If I were Huffer, I would be looking at giving Tate some playing time soon to tune him up and maybe even showcase him a bit for a possible off-season trade.

Yup. If I were starting a franchise and was allowed to take one player from any team it would be BLM. The thumbscrew and rack for you, too.

Ooooh. Heresy. Where is the Spanish Inquisition when you need it?

As much as most here would love to see Edmonton get schooled, it would still be nice to see another competitive game today. The Monreal-Hamilton game was actually fun to watch but Edmonton is still going to be scrooged, though.

After so many years playing in the worst stadium in the league plus having pathetic teams, the faithful in Hamiltion have reason to celebrate. Good on them. I just hope they can give Calgary some reistance in the Grey Cup- probably the two best coaches in the CFL.

it's actually a metaphor for life! Is it the "Answer to The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"? You're completely wrong the correct answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything is..........42. And if you understand that, you will have to be put to death immediately. Wow. So wrong. You don't get put to death. The entire universe collapses and is replaced by seomthing even more inexplicable. But there are those who think this has already happened. Come to think of it, this must have happened already. The Riders won last the Cup last year, didn't they?

I didn't catch the whole game yesterday but from what I did see, Demski was not the dominant player I expected to see, so perhaps his stock fell somewhat.

From Wikipedia: In January 2013, Erickson left Sun News Network and began working as a freelance foreign television correspondent based in London and filed reports for CBS News.[7] By the end of the year, she had left journalism for law school. Yeah, just saw that. Wonder is she was forced out of Sun News or left of her own accord. Pretty hilarious seeing her chastise the likes of that dancer on Sun News for taking money from the taxpayer when she essentially did the same for how many upteen years working for the CBC. Hypocrite. And then there was that incident of collusion involving her some years ago when she worked for the CBC. Hey, whatever happened to Doug Berry? Anyone who cannot stick with Sun News when Ezra Levant can must either be afflicted with a conscience or utterly clueless.

There was an idea that I seem to recall that was floated around a few years ago about a team being alowed to to keep a Canadian quarterback on the roster as a development player who would not count against the roster limit or the salary cap. Still sounds like a good idea to me.

What else is there to do in Saskatchewan? Nothing. Fixed. And yes, you are right. I am a die hard rider fan (and blades and huskies), but other than sports, there is very little to do here. I'm actually looking to move away. Skiing on Mount Jockstrap isn't thrilling enough?

Lawless - Attention O'Shea: Fire Etcheverry
Tracker replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
This shouldn't even be a debate. Bellefeuille's performance as offensive coordinator needs to closely assessed but Etcheverry ought to be a dead man walking. The dithering on O'Shea's part does not reflect well on him. -
I vote about 50 times but lost ground the whole time.

Not that I would want him back here as a head coach, but its strange that NOBODY seems to have considered Doug Berry as a head coach. His record here was pretty good given the circumstances of his term, and maybe he doesn't want the aggravation any more.

Do you see the Bombers making big splashes to make the 2015 G.C. ?
Tracker replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
They've already promised to try real hard next year. What more can you ask? -
I would welcome Benevides as a DC but he will probably want to lick his wounds for awhile- most do, and Burke was the exception. Huffer will have to promise Dickenson the head coach job within a couple of years to keep him in Cowgary, and if Trestman returns to the CFL (still iffy), he would create a ripple effect if he takes a presently-filled job on Montreal. I figure Wally will be given a year to right the ship in Vancouver and that will put pressure on him to have a competitive, durable quarterback by next spring, I still think Khari would be a good fit here. Stay tuned for further developments.

Lawless - Attention O'Shea: Fire Etcheverry
Tracker replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It would certainly be a strange symmetry if Marshall replaced Etcheverry once again- this time in Winnipeg. -
Randolph Scott retired and became active in the LA gay community. And if you don't believe that he was gay, you would probably also have a hard time accepting that Danny Kaye and Sir Laurence Olivier were a couple. Nooooo....and all these years I thought that old cowpoke was a straight shooter! Not sure if he was a "cow-poke".

Busy little beaver, that Walters. I'm pretty sure he's a human. He has big teeth and brown hair, but no tail. It's a toss up... Why do these threads always end up with a sexual reference?

Congrats on a great season Saskatchewan ...
Tracker replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
By "all you guys" he was referring to Sask media and fans who collectively have the IQ of a house plant. You apologize. That's an insult to all house plants You may be right. I asked the Diefenbachia and it snorted but it has ties to Saskatchewan. -

Are you aware that you will have to go through both a body cavity search and the sheep dip bath? And bring donuts?
