Sorry, for some reason I thought you were a woman. No problem. No matter which plumbing i was born with, I am still me and this is far from an insult.

Michael Sam Possibly Playing for Als Next Season

Good, humorous point. Those of us who fit into the category of middle-class white folks have been in a privileged position for a long time and the problem with being in power is that darned few willingly give it up. Those of us who are AWOGS (angry white old guys) tend to see change of any sort as a threat. This is probably an unconscious reaction to the fading control and power in our own existences as we age. Its always easier to rail at someone else's rise than mourn our own fading. -
Well, perhaps he was tuning in to my feminine energy.

Playoff Prediction Thread - With Grey Cup Winner

Hey! I was pretty close. -
Calgary had 2 receivers running side by side- curious.
-
I thought Madu was running well, so why use Grigsby?
-
Dumb penalty by Calgary on Sinkfield. That might cost them a TD.
-
Ooooh- now that kinda tips the scales a bit.
-
Calgary does not have this game in the bag just yet. If Hamilton can get a quick TD, it might shake the Stamps' confidence and open that door.
-
Still don't expect the Cats to win but at least its not a complete blow-out.
-
This game could be over by half-time and Stewart is definitely wearing the horns today.

No one has to "support a gay lifstyle"- all people have to do is treat them the same as everyone else with the same rights and priviledges. Sexuality is not a digital either "perfectly straight" or "totally gay" choice. Sexuality is an analog thing along a sliding scale and homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom as well. I have seen a few examples of homosexuality in animals, but only when the other option wasn't available. I have also seen bulls and boars beat each other into a bloody pulp. At any rate, I don't think comparisons to the animal kingdom help homosexual rights very much. For example, many male mammals and birds do nothing to help raise their offspring. Do we then use that example to defend deadbeat dads? As my last comment on this- homosexual behaviour in animals (including primates) is not contingent on a lack of choice of partners- it appears to be innate. If you think that being gay is a matter of choice, ask yourself: when was the time when you found yourself equally attracted to both genders but made a conscious decision to go one way or another? -
Bombers benched Grigsby for partying late

But it rose to the surface as his career wore on... Roberts was a once in a generation talent, Grigsby is just another easily replaceable part. Roberts was great but he could have been a CFL legend, -

January has been one of the few bright lights on the O-line for the past few years, but ain't nobody gettin' any younger, so by all means, we need to push him and all the others on the O-line, be they import or non-import.

George Cortez won't be back with Riders in 2015

Barring a complete implosion of epic proportions, O'Shea has to be safe until at least the end of next season. All coaches are on borrowed time and darned few leave on their own terms, but O'Shea's achilles heel may be his stubborness and being unwilling to change things /people when they are not working. I agree that it would be a very bad sign if we go into next season with the same cast as this year. Change for the sake of change is pointless but change when it is warranted is a good thing. -

White men can't jump. I disagree with this. Just ask my wife how I react when she tells me to do something. She has a whim of iron. -

Heck if Cortez managed to survive in Regina, Winnipeg ought to feel like heaven by comparison. -

I thought I heard somewhere that they will never take away our freedom. Can't be sure because the dude talked funny and really really loud. But if we are not vigilant, they may take away our lutefisk. -

There is a certain % of the population who have a pathological need to see "not us" as "lesser than us"or even sub-human and this is not exclusive to hostility towards gays. These biased individuals can hate blacks, asians, women, catholics, francophones, natives, even the physically disabled. This part of the population is consistently about 10-15% and have a need to compensate for deep-seated doubts about their own competence or sexual confidence. If they do not direct their hatred against gays because there are none present, they will look for other targets. These are individuals who have been indoctrinated by familial or group culture and choose to not question their beliefs. Worse yet, there are those like Fox/Sun News and their ilk who seek to profit from fanning the flames of hatred. The ironic thing is that often the most vocally homophobic individuals have barely repressed homosexual tendencies (like Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker). -

There are so many pro-grade players in the 330,000,000 US of A that the difference between making the team and not can be simply whether or not the coach like the colour of your eyes. Sam may be good but he would have had to be outstanding to be a lock on any team. He could be a good addition to the Als and bring some more good media attention to the league. -

Does this mean that BC Lions are in trouble for announcing about Benevides than? I think that blackout is the week leading up to the Grey Cup, so they should be fine Well, we've had 3 weeks to sort out our coordinators & haven't made any kind of an announcement either way. This delay confirming that the coordinators will either stay or go is difficult to understand. Does it take that long to determine of they are worth keeping or not?
