Randolph Scott retired and became active in the LA gay community. And if you don't believe that he was gay, you would probably also have a hard time accepting that Danny Kaye and Sir Laurence Olivier were a couple. Nooooo....and all these years I thought that old cowpoke was a straight shooter! Not sure if he was a "cow-poke".

Busy little beaver, that Walters. I'm pretty sure he's a human. He has big teeth and brown hair, but no tail. It's a toss up... Why do these threads always end up with a sexual reference?

Congrats on a great season Saskatchewan ...

By "all you guys" he was referring to Sask media and fans who collectively have the IQ of a house plant. You apologize. That's an insult to all house plants You may be right. I asked the Diefenbachia and it snorted but it has ties to Saskatchewan. -

Are you aware that you will have to go through both a body cavity search and the sheep dip bath? And bring donuts?

Why is it that when Messam changes uni's he looks great for awhile then disappears. I think we'd be better off sticking with Fitzgerald and bring him along. Fitzgerald is another wasted pick from Mack. Even his LS'ing is not good when the Bombers need replacement when Wild was injured. We need someone that D will respect when he has the ball. Messam might not be as explosive during his first year but how many times did he burn our D this year? Agreed. Fitzgerald is not a rookie and has not been for some time. He needs to come to training camp with the expectation that he will either show more than he has or be gone. He has shown a few flashes of promise, but after awhile that is not enough.

There appears to be genuine fire behind the smoke here- should be a very interesting off-season for the Riders. -
Are you dense? Both walters and o'shea were very direct in their year end pressers... I swear, some posters on here think everyone elses coaches Nd management are the elites and ours are devious villians.. I didn't say there was no acknowledgement of problems by Bomber coach and management- I said that there ought to have been more. I found it little short of insulting that O'Shea was telling us that all was well for the past three months when it obviously wasn't. Before you accuse me of demanding that O'Shea should have thrown players and coaches under the bus in mid-season, there is a vast difference between saying that there needs to be improvement in certain areas and public humiliation of those fingered as the guilty parties. I cannot speak for Walters, but he seems to be doing what is needed to fill the holes in the lineup, but I am concerned that the same mindset by O'Shea which seemingly refused to admit major problems in this year's team will influence him to keep with the same players, coaches and philosophy that fell short this year.

Which Player To Get Stitched On New Bombers Jersey
Tracker replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Retired players... Wear with pride. Well, #11 Ken Ploen, #27 Dave Raimey, #77 Ernie Pitts, #64 Bill Frank, #55 Joe Critchlow, #7 Don Jonas, #52 Harry Walters, #30 Brian Herosian, #27 Jay Washington, #38 Willard Reaves, #35 Tyrone Jones, #10 Rod Hill, #2 Tom Clements, #70 Jeff Boyd.... Those guys come to mind. I always loved Brian Herosian's nickname. The Armenian Assassin. I met him a few times after he was done playing football. What comes to my mind about Brian Herosian was the horrible accident that took the lives of his wife and child. -
Good move, and we need all the help on the D-line we can get. I just hope that our defensive schemes will improve.

Playoff Prediction Thread - With Grey Cup Winner
Tracker replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Considering how badly my "predictions" bombed last week, I hesitate to try again, but Hammy over Montreal and Calgary over Edmonton. I ought to be safe with my second choice at least. -
Hopefully he is with Doctor Handsome and they are spooning somewhere. Jealous?

Plus Lewis puts on more weight every year. Next season he ought to scale out about the same as a Ford F150.

Which Player To Get Stitched On New Bombers Jersey

Hoping he works out with us as he just re-signed how about '100% Cotton'? It's also my wife's maiden name so I'm partial to it. :-) Your wife's maiden name is one hundred percent?? -
Agreed. If amiability was Khari's only asset, we should pass on him. He has shown himself to be smart, personable and a student of the game, so if he is available, he ought to warrant an interview. I'm not sure that the past couple of years in BC are what we ought to judge him by- no durable quarterback and a horrible offensive line.

Fawlty Towers was the best mini-series sitcom ever. It was wildly popular but crashed when Cleese and his wife (who was Polly the maid) fell on hard times in their relationship and refused to be on the same set at the same time. I have the series on DVD and it never fails to make me laugh so hard that my sides ache.

Refreshing candor from the BC coach and GM. I wish we had more of that here instead of vague comments.

Do you see the Bombers making big splashes to make the 2015 G.C. ?
Tracker replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
As much as I would love to see the Bombers go all-out to snag free agents and make big trades en route to a Grey Cup appearance, I hope Walters does not strip away the future of the team. It sure looked like the Riders did that last year and look where they are now. There should be no reason why we can't be competitive next season with some intelligent drafting, scouting and dipping into the free agent pool. -
I disagree...as defacto OC in 2002, he showed quite a bit... What has impressed me about Khari all along has been his intelligence. He was never the most athletic but instead relied on his smarts, hard work and preparation- all good characteristics for a coach. Besides, he and his wife would be great additions to the community. He has a lot of good karma in Winnipeg.

Khari for OC with the Bombers!

I think Popeye caught him dipping into Olive Oyl.

As much fun as it is to gloat over the Riders' implosion, lets not get to feeling too smug until we have a couple of years of being over .500 and going deep into the playoffs. I am happy to see the Riders get beaten by a team with pathetic quarterbacking, but we have more than enough work on our part to be a contender and there are some serious questions about the coaching here that have to be resolved before we can move forward with confidence that next year will be a lot better than this one. Last year at this time, if we had been offered Sunseri, we probably would have taken him over Willy -Sunseri looked that good. Then the wheels fell of Sunseri completely and Taman, who had every right to think that Sunseri would have been ready to step in for Durant, got caught with his pants down when Sunseri failed. Taman deserves to be criticized for not realizing earlier in the season that Sunseri and whomever they had as the #3 QB were just not good enough and not bringing in someone to shore up the deficit. But damned few teams can survive their #1 9and pretty good) quarterback being knocked out for the year, and the Bombers look to have some talent in the bullpen. -
Lawless - Attention O'Shea: Fire Etcheverry
Tracker replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
There is a big difference between attacking the man and criticizing his work, and Etcheverry has left himself very much open to having his body of work criticized. Agreed that stats can be twisted, but no matter how you look at it, the Bomber defence collapsed for the same reasons that Etcheverry's defences have collapsed in the past. The surest way to prove that you understand the current situation is to be able to predict the future of that situation, and many here predicted exactly how Etcheverry's defence would unravel over the course of the season. Complaining that we just didn't have the right kind of people on defence doesn't cut it- it would be little short of insane thinking to keep on trying to do the same thing when it isn't working for whatever reason. If a manager cannot adapt his/her strategy to take into account the people he/she actually has as opposed to those wished for in an ideal universe, then incompetence is at work. A musician who can play only one song doesn't survive (C&W music excepted).
