If BC does not advance to the Eastern final, and maybe even if they do, there will be changes in BC.

Als @ TiCats / Riders @ Eskis - The Final Showdown
Tracker replied to USABomberfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Grigsby had a couple of good games with us, too- remember? I have no rancor for him, but he is still a below average back. I'm betting he doesn't even get an invite to the 'Cats training camp next year. -
Too Little for Ottawa in Expansion Draft?

Another question that deserves to be asked is why Desjardins chose to go with a rookie head coach rather than suffer through two different sets of teething pains. -
Next season the Bombers win those games. I'm confident Bombers win at least 9-10 games next season. Could've won them this year too. We were outplayed at the QB position - rest of the team played well enough to win those games. Willy had his struggles towards the end of the season, however, in the games against the RIders at home and against Hamilton he outplayed the opposing QB. You are just making crap up. He was pretty brutal in the first game against the Riders. I thought that was one of his worst games actually. Those three picks he threw were absolute killers. They hurt, However, I blame 2 out of 3 of those on the play calling and on a receiver making no effort to go to the ball. Fact of the matter is that we scored more points on offence than they did. If we could stop turning the ball over for TDs, or stop Dressler on KRs this series looks a lot different. Who gets a FG blocked for a TD? The luck was running the Riders way. Willy played well. He was not the cause of any of our defeats to the Riders. I was at that game, and it was difficult to tell who should have worn the goat horns, but Willy had happy feet the whole second half after being pounded in the first half.

Too Little for Ottawa in Expansion Draft?

Had they hired a competent GM (read:not Desjardins), they would have been in the mix for the playoffs, so no sympahy from me here. -
Heck, even Doug Flutie and Ron Lancaster had bad times, but of the current crop of CFL pivots, if I were coaching a critical CFL game, I would pick Ray.

Beware the Buddhist dictum:" Before you set out to seek revenge, dig two graves."

The information is embarrassingly true, but it is what it is. What occurred to me was " Who the heck were the Florida Manatees, and who in their right mind would name a professional team after animals who were slow and dim, not to mention being called "sea cows"?"

I'm getting moist and tingly again......

If he can do both, that ought to double his chances of not getting hurt. Personally, I suggest he should provide his O-line with sidearms. That ought to do it.

We were outplayed at the QB position - rest of the team played well enough to win those games. I think you're going to get a lot of dissent on this one. Willy wasn't allowed by his O-line to play well and was beaten into the ground. Beyond that, our defense was figured out by Labour day by the other teams, and our receivers as a whole were barely good enough on a good day and significantly sub-par other days. And that is not even addressing the weak D-line and coaching.
-
All worthy of becoming trivia questions.
-
Maybe Morley's play tailed off because he was trying to cover for all the other problematic players on the O-line.

Much ado about nothing of significance.

Good luck to Donovan- glad he had the sense to quit when he heeded to instead of risking permanent damage.

Tom Higgins to return as Als head coach in 2015
Tracker replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
And darned few could when Dougie was motoring. -
Glen January was not as good this year as last, and if continuing owies played a part in that, he deserves an invite to training camp. That said, he has more of his career behind him than in front of him, and we need to begin grooming a replacement.

Kyle Walters to address the media at 11AM
Tracker replied to holoman's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
All this is encouraging, and we can write this whole season off as a mulligan. I think fans will be ready to wash out the taste of this year, but I cannot see the same forgiveness extending into next year. It sounds like Walters and O'Shea are aware of all the snafus this year and are prepared to make the necessary changes, down to making at least one of the current assistant coaches walk the plank. -
Which Bomber Free Agents will seek greener grass?

PS: we need to find another long-snapper to replace Wild in that role. His neck must have been shortened about an inch and he is going to have his lifespan shortened as well. -
Tom Higgins to return as Als head coach in 2015
Tracker replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Good news for the Alouettes and the league. Higgins is and always has been a good guy and a good coach who never got snarly even when things were difficult. I still happen to think that he would have been a good fit here as well. Better than O'Shea--maybe. -
Crompton is a place-holder until someone better comes along. He's done reasonably well considering but I wouldn't trade him for any of our top three QB's.
-
Maybe he meant that Romby Bryant makes those around him look bet.ter by comparison

Now, who we have that we can spare that Ottawa would want for the # one draft pick?
