  1. So, hope no one minds the repetition, but “2 and out”!
  2. Cornelius with the athletic play just to get that incompletion away.
  3. Anyone else starting to think about booking a trip to Hamilton in December? This team has found another gear tonight.
  4. Zach spreading the ball around. Demski the bull!!!!!!
  5. I may be saying this more than once tonight, but “2 and out”!
  6. Not sure how he’ll play, but Cornelius is channeling the “Dinwiddie eyes”.
  7. Still just that easy.
  8. Just that easy.
  9. I will absolutely give you that point about Suitor begging to be called unbiased. Seems like he is triggered too. Or he doth protest too much! As long as people have fun cherry picking his comments for the pro-Rider slant and not get angry and quit watching, have at it. 🤣
  10. I prefer Forde to any other colour guy, and as far as Suitor’s poor quality, I have more than once cited his “oh no” call of Milt’s miracle touchdown as really poor form. But it’s funny he is seen as unprofessional and a homer and it triggers so many here, yet Dunigan’s (allegedly) drunken ramblings are adored, and his homerism is hardly veiled when he says “two weeks getting pounded on by the Bombers…..I love saying that”. Certainly creates an inference that the hatred or love is fuelled more by the former jersey colours of the respective parties than a completely objective dissection of their abilities. And I just find that rationale and how much it irks people kind of laughable. But that’s just me. I’ll see what I can dig up. But it is not easy to find with consistency. Not sure why TSN of the CFL does not regularly post numbers (it comes up sporadically).
  11. From all the numbers I have seen that have been reported, games involving the Riders consistently draw the highest viewership across Canada. Bombers are usually higher than average too.
  12. It is possible many Rider fans did not get vaccinated because there was no requirement for attendance at games. Now that there is, a bunch may not be eligible to enter yet. Many people wait until absolutely necessary to do the common sense thing. Alberta’s daily vaccination shot totals apparently tripled the first day after the passport implementation.
  13. Careful, you’ll be labelled a troll, or worse, dubbed Glen!
  14. The amount of angst over Glen Suitor, TSN, and the refs “wanting” the Riders to win in this many posts borders on the comical. Stuff like this makes the Rider fans who say we are “obsessed” look not too far off base.
  15. You know, if you’d have left out that last sentence, then I might have bought that “I don’t know why people get upset with me” line. But whether or not you start it by turning arguments into personal shots (and I for one - and I am fairly certain I am in the vast minority here- don’t think you do, at least a decent portion of the time), you do perpetuate it with stuff like this, which sabotages your own argument and turns the debates into a noise fest.
  16. Went and watched “Free Guy” for the second time last night, and the Alex Trebek cameo still makes me smile. So glad Reynolds put that in.
  17. DON’T GO THERE!!!!!!! I just had 2001 flashbacks.
  18. While I think we should not have trouble with the Elks given how each team has played so far this year, the big scare is Wilder Jr. He is the league’s leading rusher by a good bit, our defensive Achille’s Heel (as much as we have one) so far has been the spotty run defence at times, and with Harris out they may balance their attack more. Last week’s offensive upswing by Collaros and the gang leaves me confident that it can help out the defence more than it did in the first four weeks, so maybe even a let down from the unconscious level our D has been playing at can be better compensated by our offence. Edmonton is a mystery in that they have (on paper) some real offensive weapons yet have not been putting up the points. That porous o-line must be an even bigger factor than I would think.
  19. I believe the rule was veteran’s salaries were guaranteed after Labour Day in a normal year (after the halfway point of the year) so you would see cuts before then, but I also hear that CFL contracts are not guaranteed. As for trading players, I do not recall a team ever retaining salary in a CFL deal. The salary cap penalties are so inconsequential in the CFL anyway that it is not really an issue from a cap management standpoint.
  20. Won’t argue that he is not elite right now, but he may well be playing on a still fractured leg, and long term I am not ready to stick a fork in him for good just yet. People wrote off Ricky Ray and Zach Collaros when they suffered injuries, but they both healed and after being traded the former won another Cup and the latter is looking like an all-star again. Get him completely healthy (and I mean completely) and we’ll see what he has left.
  21. Matt Nichols (from 40-22 and a Grey Cup in Winnipeg to 1-4 and benched in Ottawa)? Oops, did I start something? 😁
  22. So you don’t think they will sweep, but you actually pick them to win the back-to-back portion which is the hard part. Hmmm………
  23. Maier in with 2 minutes left. Good timing Dave. A TSN Friday Night Football haiku: TV ratings called They want their twenty fourteen Stamps and Tabbies back.
