  1. Lack of depth at the position.
  2. Some jerseys look really good on the players as part of a full uniform, but are dull when just the top is worn by the fans (the San Francisco 49ers are a good example) while others can be nice as just a fan jersey top but make the overall uniform just look bad. Those gold jerseys were an example of that to me. But then I have always preferred a white jersey to a yellow one.
  3. I’ve watched the replay a few times and it’s not obvious if Collaros was hit in the head by a player or the ground. There was no helmet to helmet or shoulder to helmet that I can see if you slow it down frame by frame. I think the forearm gets him and twists his neck, then he smacks his helmet on the turf. But that’s just one person’s interpretation. Kind of like the arm hit to the head of Dane Evans that knocked him out of the Grey Cup. In any event, for whatever they did not do right, at least the league spotter exercised caution and had him pulled for three plays. That much the league did do correctly to prevent more possible concussion damage. Video link below (enjoy the Dru Brown showing again). https://www.cfl.ca/2022/06/11/brown-seals-the-deal-for-winnipeg/
  4. One compromises their morals and will lie to and flatter a complete stranger with the ultimate goal of screwing them, all in an effort to make more money for a living, and the other is a prostitute.
  5. Pretty sure we only wore the camo only once for the Alouettes game.
  6. Winnipeg fans if Trotz actually takes all the bribes and comes here:
  7. The camo was a mess, although we are undefeated in them (1-0 all-time!). Another low point was the gold tops with gold pants combo, although not as nausea-inducing looking back now as when I first saw it live in 2013.
  8. I think as just a jersey fans will wear as a top they are not great. The big W just makes it look like an overly long t-shirt. As part of the overall uniform including helmet, pants and socks it works a bit better. So it won’t necessarily work as a money-maker.
  9. That’s exactly what it is. They even said that at the last game when they were promoting it. Which is why they chose the Hamilton game to do it. And why the Bombers are wearing their road jerseys for the game.
  10. Of all the weird things people complain about on this board, this one takes the cake. Y’all know you aren’t forced to buy a white jersey. Any white shirt will do.
  11. That’s just flat out not accurate. See below. And that’s just this specific thread.
  12. What exactly in your analysis makes this a “stupid” comment? Fundamentally wrong? Too simplistic? Too obvious? Just trying to understand your mindset.
  13. Seeing him hoist the Grey Cup in these colours was worse.
  14. Better than John Helton? Certainly worthy of a debate. Eras are tough to compare, just like comparisons between positions. I do think Brown has a legit argument, but Helton was above and beyond everyone of his era by a lot.
  15. If they were ex-Bombers they would be praised. If they were ex-Riders they would be trashed.
  16. Hmmm, had not factored him in originally, an oversight on my part. Definitely behind Walby, maybe ahead of Pop and Cameron depending on my mood. Apples to oranges positional comparisons are tough.
  17. Harris is not the greatest ever. He is not even the greatest Bomber ever. He is arguably not even the greatest Canadian or Canadian Bomber ever Greatest ever - Doug Flutie by a lot (Jackie Parker often cited as 2nd best, although Anthony Calvillo and Mike Pringle could also get consideration) Greatest Bomber - Milt Stegall Greatest Canadian Bomber - Based on tenure and making an apples to oranges positional comparison, I’d put Chris Walby, Joe Poplawski, and Bob Cameron ahead of Harris. Greatest Canadian - Harris’ overall career including his BC time gives him a puncher’s chance to lay a claim (especially with the all-time Canadian rushing record). But he has only won the MOC award once and was never MOP. Jon Cornish (3x MOC, MOP), Tony Gabriel (4x MOC, MOP), and Russ Jackson (4x MOC, 3x MOP) all did better. Cornish and Jackson also won the Lou Marsh Trophy, and Jackson was given the Order of Canada, was Grey Cup MVP, and was indicted into the Canadian Sports Hall. Of Fame). For me Jackson is the best. Again, if a positional comparison is factored in, Walby could lay a claim.
  18. I’m just happy we have a network committed to showing every CFL game on TV. I have no real strong opinions on any of them, not enough to let it ruin my mood, anyway.
  19. Going out on a limb here - Lions will be #1 in the power rankings this week. Elks will be #13 (behind whichever fantasy team had James Butler this week at #2, the other CFL teams at 3 through 9, the Tampa Bay Lightning pick-up football team at #10, the TSN panel of Beirness, Stegall, Dunigan, Sanchez, and whatever camera persons can fill out a starting dozen at #11, and the Saskatchewan goalpost at #12.
  20. Always much appreciation to those who make the responsible choice. Enjoy your day of celebration and raise a glass at the Rum Hut to cap off your tour!
