  1. 20 Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers No, it’s your fat ass that makes you look fat. Did I ace the test?
  2. Fun fact - no NHL team has ever given up 8 or more goals twice in the same playoff year and gone on to win the Stanley Cup that same year. Only the 1980 NY Islanders and the 1984 Edmonton Oilers have given up 8 goals in any one single playoff game and gone on to win the Cup that same year (those 1980 Islanders also gave up 7 in another game). The 1945 Toronto Maple Leafs gave up a record 10 goals in a playoff game for a team that went on to win the Cup that same year. There is one other pro North American team to have multiple defensive breakdowns like this year’s Oilers and still win a championship. The 1979 WHA Winnipeg Jets gave up 8 goals in one game and 10 in another (their only two playoff losses that year), but ended up winning the Avco Cup.
  3. It’s the same hate that Brown had dumped on him in the season finale against Calgary last year. Fans being fans and making knee-jerk reactions on players too quickly. But you are bang on, it makes no difference once Collaros goes in and plays all the snaps.
  4. They never said which Tuesday. 😁
  5. You can…..but should you?
  6. Starters did their own sneaks even up to Kevin Glenn times. I think we only started inserting the back-up when Buck Pierce arrived and we wanted to save him the extra pounding. Now it’s standard for the back-up to do the sneaks.
  7. Since one LB position has basically been transformed into a 6th DB position with the advent of the 5REC:1RB set, I suspect they’ll just convert one of those DBs to LB.
  8. Just a hunch, but this year’s Most Outstanding Canadian.
  9. Obvious choice here. Only Bomber I know of who has a stamp.
  10. I’m just asking if there is any update. I have said before and I’ll say again for those who seem to not understand that I have no issue with the club’s actions. I have no feelings about his status as a football player. Not sure why your shorts are in a knot because I am curious what the latest news is from a human standpoint?
  11. Any update on whether or not the complainant has given her statement, if charges have been laid or an information sworn yet? Haven’t seen anything from Jeff Hamilton on Twitter or any media release that I have come across.
  12. Here is the website with the Championship collection from Baron rings: https://bluebombersring.com
  13. And in the tournament no one pays attention to until Canada gets to the final, it’s Canada vs Finland tomorrow at the World Championships. Dubois and Lowry playing very well for the Canucks.
  14. It WAS built in Winnipeg…..in 1955. Tim Horton’s was modelled after Canadinns because that’s what their budget allowed for. when IG Field was being constructed I spoke with one of the project managers for the club when I got to view my potential new seats, and he said both Hamilton and Sask sent reps to see what they could learn from the build. Sask learned that their build would cost triple what the Bombers paid, and Hamilton learned that for the same price as IG Field all they could afford was a design similar to Canadinns but with no end zone seats. They were very jealous of the deal we struck. Of course, we paid for our sweet deal once construction deficiencies and repairs upped the true cost.
  15. I had posted this a week ago but here is the e-mail notice I got again.
  16. The view from my seats: QB- Brown moved the ball and executed his sneaks well, found some receivers in coverage. Good job but low expectations going in. Prokop’s passes looked nice in flight (tight spiral, strong throws on a rope) until you saw them sail past or two feet wide of the receivers or land at their feet. Accuracy off more than a few times, tried to force the deep ball a couple of times, once off his back foot, which led to under thrown INTs. His scrambling on the TD run looked good, Streveler-esque, but his decision-making in the pocket left something to be desired. RBs - Augustine was the best Bomber on the field last at night and he should be our starter no question. Explosive, hits those holes quickly and decisively. Oliviera didn’t show anything special to me but he’ll be around. Borsa was the same as Brady, did not jump off the page. REC - Like others said, Jackson and Scheon were good, Demski is going to be a big feature of the offence this year. OL/DL - wasn’t really focussed on the lines too much, so I won’t speculate LB - Clements had some nice hits, but the Elks running backs and QB Tre Ford exposed the holes in the defence a bit DBs - Nick Hallett had a couple of nice tackles, Maruo had a really nice stick at one point, and safety Malcolm Thompson had a beautifully timed safety blitz to blow up a running play and provide the crunch of the game, one of two big hits I noticed from him. Maybe the most notable of the defence who did not really wow overall (but so many personnel changes hard for one guy to pile up the stats and stand out). Kicking - Mourtada can still pound those kickoffs which will be more important with the ball being moved back 5 yards. I don’t really worry about his punting stats because he was experimenting with that kooky Medlock Aussie rules style end over ender kick rather than trying for a spiral, but he wasn’t really that good at it and will not be kept around for his punting anyway. No field goals so the only way to judge the placekicking is the converts and he made one no problem but rang his only other attempt off the upright. Mourta-DOH! indeed. Liegghio’s kickoffs not as deep and no great hang time. I’ve seen him punt better than he did last night too. He made his convert so there is that but he didn’t really pound it through the end zone there. Mourtada has a distinct edge in leg strength but these placekicking jobs are won on accuracy, and he is still not winning people over there. Maybe the Aussie can step up. The Elks kickers were more noticeable across the board, with Hutchins especially skying punts.
  17. Mike Riley is the last coach I remember getting carried off on the shoulders of his players instead of getting a Gatorade bath.
  18. Tom Burgess with Mike Riley.
  19. Attendance historically drops after Labour Day. Don’t mind the move up one month.
  20. Neither does anyone who has already assumed him to be guilty.
