Danielle Smith sets limits on media questions cause ‘it’s election time’. Knuckle draggers here and everywhere will explain this away with their usual yes buts, everyone’s bad nonsensical absurd drivel while attaching a national post link that reports DS is the best option to lead Alberta.

Prolly woke socialist Commie libtards the governmentally controlled radical left CBC interviewed. Fake news.

Round 1 - Game 1 : @ Venetian Golden Knights
HardCoreBlue replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
An sentence that caught my attention taken from a piece by Bryan Murphy Sporting News: 'There's no debate about who the Jets starter is. Like he has done all season, (and let's face it, most of his career), Connor Hellebuyck is going to be putting Winnipeg on his back, trying to nearly single-handedly get the team wins in the postseason'. Ummmmmmm sure I get the we go as Helle goes and sometimes this team fails miserably in supporting him (i.e., offensive and defensive support) but to me the bolded parts especially are a bit over the top. Last time I checked we do have other talent on the team. Don't know who Bryan Murphy is and what his background is but don't like him. 🙂 -
I have a new found hate for the Wild almost as much, or even more right now, than for the Leafs/Oilers. I hope they get obliterated in the first round.

Large numbers of human beings continue to die everyday in this invasion while I muse about and joke around in other threads. What a weird Fing world we live in.

These facts don't fit your narrative. Wait, what? I'm confusing myself.

For some reason every year, especially this one re Bedard, I hope a team with 1 or 2 percentage chance wins. 🙂 -
Round 1 - Game 1 : @ Venetian Golden Knights

My normal predictable self of course: The Jets aren't going to make the playoffs, what the hell is happening to this team to meh even if they do make the playoffs it will be short lived to wow they actually made it in to lessssssssssssssss gooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! -
If Obby was shoved then he should file assault charges but no takes it thru the speaker. Interesting.

The saying 'history tends to repeat itself' is ringing true once again.

That's the current NHL perfectly summed up.

Here's hoping (knowing the very very limited odds of it happening)

This video should be moved to the RIP 2023 thread.

If F'ing Ehlers isn't available to go first round, my level of frustration will rise. Any scenario we can meet the the F'ing Wild if we win the first round?

2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)

Here’s hoping the Argo’s slogan for 2024 reads something like ‘2023 forgotten, 2024 will be our year’. Argos suck and occasionally blow. -
These aren't your words nor your subjective interpretations. This is what they said and tried to do caught all on video. Thank goodness for stupidity, it does actually serve a needed purpose. What fascinates me is how some who claim 'moderate, centrist, lean a bit here or there, everyone's equally bad' completely glosses over serious stuff here with a yea but and than get pissy and posture themselves when called on it by saying Don't lecture me, everyone's equally bad and that's a fact, FULL STOP blah blah blah It's F'ing annoying. I'd rather engage in a discussion with someone who is upfront with who they really are than someone who bobs and weaves behind labels to remain slippery.

Help me understand why this wouldn't always be? It should be a mandatory consequence regardless of who you are and regardless of the case being investigated. If a subpoena is legally issued and I don't comply, I (regardless of who I am and where I fit along the continuum of power and status) need to feel hurt quickly and swiftly.

That wasn't interference. That was a blatant and dangerous hit to a vulnerable player without the puck. Calling it interference lessens it's severity. Great job ref and league. At least give an impression that you're trying.

Someone call the police, there's been a murder.

Game 81 : @ Where The Wild Things Are
HardCoreBlue replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I was thinking the exact same thing unless Willard hoodwinked us all. I'm constantly fascinated by how things can get missed with yea know 17 refs on the ice. -
C’mon it’s just entertainment when they withhold key evidence, part of their MO as entertainers not to be taken seriously. They’re just playing around, just having fun. They don’t even know what evidence is or isn’t. I’m sure some judge will overrule sanctions given here accepting this defence.

Outrage is just one thing being faked here.

I completely agree with you but I think a simple slogan for them would be something like, 'we'll do our part so you can do yours'. I f'ing hate subtle shite they put in their recent tweet but that's just me.

And this is what types of ‘policies’ a large portion of Americans support. I guess it’s just another ‘side’ to the issue.

The next day after the Flames were eliminated, an excerpt taken from a piece written by Wes Gilberston from the Calgary Sun: Will Treliving take the fall for a frustrating season, for an unexpectedly early exit? Or will majority owner Murray Edwards determine the general manager did his part by re-stocking the roster, that the finger should be pointed elsewhere? While many in the C of Red are calling for a coaching change, while rumours swirl of a rift between the bench boss and some of the key pieces, Edwards has committed a lot of loot to the skipper. Just moments after the Flames were eliminated from playoff contention, no longer with a mathematical shot of leapfrogging the eighth-place Winnipeg Jets, workhorse defenceman and emerging leader Rasmus Andersson told reporters: “Looking around this room, we had the squad to do it, and that probably makes it more frustrating.” Treliving was responsible for assembling that squad. On deadline day, he described it as “a good team that has underperformed.” A mid-April farewell certainly confirms that assessment. The bolded part is my doing as it's every GM's go to and usually gets supported by the scribes as it is here. I think one could get into the debate on whether the Flames underperformed or did they perform where you would expect based how Trevliving brought all these different pieces together while excluding other pieces? Chevy will probably be in the same boat come summer time.
