  1. Absolutely true but there are certain people (not just politicians obviously) who do more horrible things than others, who do more horrible things consistently than others and who do more horrible things than others that have a lot more negative impact on people. Some people are good people who have done horrible things and have learned from doing these horrible things. That's where I would put the masses of people that come from all walks of life. Then there are genuinely horrible people who constantly do horrible things running roughshod over anyone who get in their way with little self-awareness of the grossness of their behaviour, legal and/or illegal. This is where I would place Donald J Trump based on the mountain of information about him (illegal and non illegal behaviours) that is available to the general public that many posters here have shared here over time. I don't think most on this board have said nor implied others outside of Trump (left, right or middle of the political spectrum) are squeaky clean and don't deserve scrutiny whether they are under investigation or not. It just seems Trump is in an exclusive group of having high legal levels of grossness, corrupt and horrible behaviours mixed in with a mountain of alleged illegal behaviours. To lump others (like Biden for example) who don't fit with this exclusive group can feel like it's downplaying the severity of his actions whether it was meant to do that or not. If Biden does indeed fit into this exclusive group, then it's reasonable to back it up with comparable information we have on Trump reporting on his legal and illegal horrible behaviours.
  2. So what you’re saying here is we need to agree with you on all of what you’re saying here when specifically talking of Donald Trump and wanting him held accountable for his illegal behaviours and if we don’t agree with you, we’re ignorant and part of the problem by only stating one side? So in essence we’re ******, he’s bad but so is everyone else and everyone needs to state that, the system is corrupt there is nothing anyone can do and stop suggesting Trump should go to jail, it’s not going to happen and it actually would be bad for all of us. Yea? Well you can live in that space all you want and believe that’s the only reality but it’s a lot more complex than you put it here so using the word ignorant is a bit misguided imo.
  3. Hoping Trump is held accountable for his illegal behaviours requires one to say everyone’s corrupt?
  4. Whether you are left, right, middle, she should be hauled before the courts and threatened with serious jail time if she does not stop her craziness. Methinks Freedom of Speech is being abused.
  5. Knowing the Canucks had two of their highly skilled offensive guys out, I really liked the game of Capobianco. He played with confidence. He even did a spinorama move with success. I really liked his 2nd period intermission. Humble, funny and well spoken. Need more like him. Karson Kuhlman was a player out there making the case he was a good waiver pick-up. Hope he scores against his old team tonight.
  6. Interesting 1st line.
  7. Strange signing to me. I like JM he's good for the league but not as a HC imo. Montreal had a chance to inject some life into the league with a HC with new blood/vision but chose this route. That's DM for you. Kicks KJ to the curb, takes on the role, loses when it matters most, says he doesn't want to coach anymore. Not a big DM fan.
  8. In the same breath throwing out tribalism as a criticism.
  9. Actually, replace the word vaccines with science. Medicine a lot of times is an art lead by science. Said poster is just sitting back, smirking away reading the responses to his (?) coming in hot gaslighting comments thinking what a bunch of idiots tearing away the fabric of our society with their tribalism. Wake up, our Country is going to ****. I'm told by some here that I'm to be receptive, kind and open to listening to this jerk approach. Just another side to the equation. Showing empathy for this is type of abrasive approach where the primary objective is to get a rise out of others who don't support personal entitlements, personal freedoms like speech, choices etc with no social responsibility attached to it whatsoever hiding behind the 'I'm a law abiding citizen that will not be told to do something I don't agree with' because of the junk science, junk research, junk sources they expose themselves to that swills around social media is becoming more and more difficult to do.
  10. I see you're making your semi-regular gas lighting appearance. Please continue dispensing your wisdom.
  11. This is how a good Justice system works as Donald Trump and his gang roam freely, mocking and grifting away.
  12. The day he came down the escalator should have been vindication enough but yup can't squirm out of this with the default goto 'what about everyone's bad' drivel.
  13. From Sportal.eu Fernando Santos is no longer Portugal's technical commissioner: the Lisbon coach, who has led the Lusitanian national team since 2014, has been removed from his post after the World Cup in Qatar 2022. The quarterfinals won by Portugal, which was plagued by the Cristiano Ronaldo case, who was excluded from the starting eleven in both the round of 16 against Switzerland and the quarterfinal lost to Morocco, were not enough. Fernando Santos, who won a European championship and a Nations League at the helm of the Portuguese national team, had denied clashes with Ronaldo but was openly criticized by CR7's relatives and friends, starting with partner Georgina. The federation will announce his replacement in the coming weeks. Mourinho's name is also being floated. Because of their World Cup exit or because Ronaldo and some of his supporters think he's bigger than the game? Or is this even a debate coming from a casual fan like me? What do European HardCore Football fans say?
  14. DS truly believes she is the smartest person in the room. Now that she’s no longer able to hide behind her radio show microphone She’s finding out otherwise.
  15. Yea but what about (insert deflection). It's all a cesspool of grossness no matter where you look. There are very bad people in this world other than this creature but he, controlling for talking about others, specifically needs to be held accountable for his illegal behaviours. The saying 'Full Stop' to end the above sentence would be appropriate here.
  16. Covid has taught us this is not an exaggeration for some.
  17. Red Lights? Stop and yield signs? Turn signals? Speed limits? Defensive driving? Drive to the conditions? No one tells me what I can or cannot do. My freedoms don’t stop at your fears. Wake up!
  18. Does the United States of America have a Law Society that takes its vocation seriously?
  19. Didn't say or imply that if that's how you interpreted my post. Of course, each scenario should be evaluated and critically looked at on it's own merits. Rarely do I think yea this behaviour is bad (immediately stop thinking about it) but look over there, that's just as bad or much worse. If I do compare, I try to compare an apple to an apple (or at least some other fruit), not an Apple to an Alien.
  20. I think I’m between the two comments here. On the one hand absolutely no matter what party, no matter what platform and ideology, lead with grace, humility, integrity and honesty. On the other hand, I find the argument everyone’s bad not productive. It feels like a what about argument deflecting away from the seriousness of the behaviour and at times deflecting to something that is no where near the seriousness of the original behaviour being discussed.
  21. They are quickly nearing Leaf hate.
  22. Checks out.
  23. Hmmmmmmm. I get the overall process as you lay it out here but ultimately what really is going on here is it comes down to courage, discipline, and not being swayed by others whispering in his ear on what needs to be done or not done.
  24. Broken record here. While Merrick Garland and crew treat people differently depending who they are. Justice is not blind.
