People who are angry that their freedom to choose is being taken away in whether they want to help curb this pandemic are literally saying they choose not to help and no one or no mandate should cause consequences for that choice. Not willing to make a tiny sacrifice (proven vaccine, mask, better hand washing, distancing when appropriate) for the greater good (no mask, no distancing, ease on healthcare system and workers, back to where we all want to be). Global pandemic that has killed millions, decimated livelihoods and severely strained healthcare system means that to you? Hmmmm. I’ve always questioned using terms like far left and far right to describe extremists. I think without even knowing it what we do when we use these terms to describe a small percentage of people is we give them way more legitimacy than they deserve. Group them all together and just call them wingnuts, extremists, nut jobs whatever. Most of us share an eclectic array of political, social ideologies depending on the issue being discussed at so it’s hard to pin most of us down specifically where we land on that political spectrum. We do tho show a bit on where we may lean overall if you had to generalize.

Yea and his approach is so accommodating and enticing to a diverse set of Canadians from varying backgrounds and experiences that would surely lead to him being the appropriate figure head to lead this great country of ours said no one ever who can put their own personal agendas aside. Trudeau is definitely an elitist who seems to place more favour on how he’s seen globally that in his own backyard and is a bit of a pompous ass but he does at least mimic an inclusive approach now and then. So how I’m interpreting the Conservative party of Canada is a lot of its members are directly or indirectly saying they need a Trump type leader to help them with their ‘movement’. And so it begins.

Back in the day if you walked around spewing lies, innuendo, half truths and conspiracy drivel you faced much more than just being fact checked and twitter shamed. Times sure have changed. Just lie see what sticks move on to the next lie smirking away as dolla dolla rolls in.

What some people don’t get is an echo chamber can be filled with similar and differing viewpoints but all involved coming from a well thought out highly informed perspectives that acknowledges each of it’s limitations and biases. It’s called having a good discussion with the intent of wanting to get it right not wanting to be right.

Yup that and swinging their words wildly at the air at nothing with no logical purpose would tire anyone out. Sad really. Or funny. It’s like that crazy creepy looking guy at every corner of a major city yelling his drivel into a megaphone while their ‘associate’ hands out pamphlets.

All of this is great insight but to be completely cynical this isn’t about political power, that’s just one tool. It’s about making a buck off stupidity. Being voted in is only icing on the cake. Dumbness in its natural form is in high demand so there’s money to be made.
