I would think with all this attention on Rourke, Maier will have increased motivation to drown out that chatter with his play. And isn’t there any women out there with football experience (use to play, coach) with good tv presence that could be added, replace Kate? Sort of like what they do with the NHL broadcasting.

Thinking the same thing. Lapo is exactly where he needs to be. He is really good on breaking things down. Enjoyable to watch, he ramps up the football expertise on the panel.

I'd replace the word everyone with the word some, then I'd agree with this keen insight. The CFL should also have an award for the best locker-room guy voted only by the players and coaching staff.

And an unsolicited piece of advice for the CFL, never ever ever allow any genre personality into the broadcast booth while the game is going on, especially the country one with Suitor.

I think the one closer to the truth is he emulates who they truly are as people. He has given them a clearer path to show their true colors, less need to hide it and a feeling of strength in numbers.
