Even though a sweep maybe the Edm series took more out of the Jets than we thought.

Yup going into this series things looked good. Totally different team now.

Like they did with Leafs, they are killing us with their sticks and positioning.

Hearing Cuthbert call the game, I just can’t shake my memories of him calling Bomber games and his grinding tone when we’re losing. I know Noeller he’s awesome.

This is where Maurice and company need to earn their paycheques in getting this team ready for tonight with all these distractions going on, i.e., injuries, suspension and the varying reactions to it from a variety of groups. Lets make Joel Edmundson's life miserable tonight and force the CBC commentators to not gush on about les habs because you know they ain't going to be in the Winnipeg corner.

Serious question. What competencies and experiences did the NHL brass see in George Parros for them to be confident in him effectively leading the Department of Player Safety? They didn't really specifically answer that question when they fined the New York Rangers $250,000 for questioning his leadership.

I wonder if Buff is following all this while he fishes away.

Four games. The biggest frustration is trying to understand this being consistent with other rulings. It would be interesting to be in the room as they toss around their thoughts on the hit and hearing how eventually they land on four games. I think that might be even more frustrating to listen to. Another organization that may be challenged with understanding the rationale behind this ruling is the New York Rangers.

Just indict someone already. Investigations take time yea but c-mon.

To me this play didn't look like 'There's a little less than a minute to go, we need that puck back so I can go tie it up'. It looked more like a 'I've been really frustrated this game'. I don't think he had intent to injure tho like some anti Jet people are saying on the interwebs. His history would suggest he's not that type of player as I'm sure many other NHLers would say. More of a lapse in judgement. However, it's pure speculation on my part, I wasn't in his head leading up to that moment. Regardless he's getting suspended. It will be interesting to see how the Jets come out for Friday's game.

Yea you get that feeling. What a complete change of events from sweeping away the best player on the planet, being well rested, being overall healthy, home advantage playing the fourth placed team to now this. 180 degree change for the worse.

Great point about the coaching aspect. There’s the letting the player play on the edge to helping make sure he doesn’t cross it.

Love my Jets but I don’t t know if I’m with you on that one about the Mtl player being more of his surroundings. My guess is after MS emotions settled down, he’s probably thinking he would have done that differently. Anyways hope the player is okay, Jets regroup and we even the series on Friday.

Knowing this is not football, but in football to reduce head injuryies (at least at the minor level) trying to get away from players clocking other players when they are in a vulnerable position. Hit may have been technically ‘clean’ but player was completely in a vulnerable position. Don’t know where the NHL stands on this.

Suspension? How long?

Looks like our depth may be tested if this keeps up.
