Through Trump's era of deranged idiocy coupled with this pandemic I sure am getting a better appreciation and understanding of how people in previous infamous era's must have felt.
-
Exactly, for people who are reporting on this idiots behaviour, stop using language like stunning, shocking, unbelievable etc etc etc.. I like where you're going with your last sentence. Instead of calling him Trump and go into details of analysis of his ongoing deranged behaviour, just say the Grifter, as predictable as any other day, lied, cheated and committed numerous illegal activities. Please vote this November.

Yup you're right I just have a hard time seeing how he can do anything that requires thinking and planning even for bad things. He's a knuckle dragging deranged stupid misogynist racist idiot that is running one of the most powerful countries in the world that 38% of eligible voters approve of at last count.
-
He's not smart enough to do that on purpose.

Just so we get you at both ends, if the game is well in hand and you know who is going to win, your screen freezes on the score and you have to pay to be able to change the channel. Win win.

If you want to show pride in a southern entity that never won anything, just fly a Nashville Predators flag. @EVR551 Serious Tweeter Jeff Everson

So out of this 38% of people who still support him, after all his documented and proven idiocy/crime, how much of that 38% are Make America White Again people? This actually might be useful tool to give us the percentage of the Racist Bigots living in the US plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Thanks Debbie.

Obviously the whole world hopes that’s right. However, there is a lot people who are on edge and want to do everything they can to be cautious and help prevent things we can prevent to protect our own and the vulnerable and get back to our lives like I’m sure you are. No matter ones viewpoint and how one interprets all the information overload out there on the inter webz around getting back to some normalcy, critical thinking doesn’t have to be articulated in a condescending way and we all do it here, including me but my critical thinking tells me it really isn’t helpful, especially with making history with the shiteshow called Trump deranged idiot and Covid19.

‘But put them to the side would you, let’s not get out of hand.’
-
Wow you’re able to cruise through that ‘perspective’ and not become short of breathe while shaking your head violently from side to side?
-
I feel real bad for people who hold certain faiths that have nothing to do with this grifter but may be stereotyped because of him and his ilk.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the United States of America.
-
What is happening here? When are we all going to be told that the last 4 years has just been a joke, fooled you all, ha ha.
-
That's it. This is all we should be focusing on. The world needs to breathe again and it will come November.

Something I read resonated with me. It read something like 'We're not all in the same boat but we're all certainly in the same storm'. I like the way this is put because some people are definitely in more crappy boats than others.

They’ll only poll the white nationalists. CNN Fake news. Look at my numbers!
-
Ho hum just another horrible action to add to the lengthy ongoing list of other horrible actions by this person that will have no consequences. Well, hopefully come November that changes.

I guess I did. I'm wondering if you may be projecting a bit on what these people were thinking when they made these jokes. Just a thought. No I'm not asking you to do anything with your posts. I'm just wondering where you sit with empathy and providing context to help interpret what you are conveying on this board. And with that, this is a forum that covers football, hockey and general issues in which empathy can be used for these topics whether it's online or in person. All of this here is real life as I sit here and type to you on a key board or I talk with you in person. All these topics on this board are just different parts of our life, they are not make believe. Some people are more upfront with others in who they really are online versus who they are in person so generalizations can be misleading. This is where you confuse me. On the one hand you made the assumption in a previous post that people care when other people die but then think online empathy is bogus. Those two statements of yours don't correlate with me. Yes indeed somethings empathy can be disingenious both in person and online but not always depending on who you are and how you're wired as a human being.

Quantifying the efficacy of preventative measures is and will be challenging. (physical distancing, better and consistent social hygiene practices, wearing masks, self isolation when feeling sick, testing for hot spots and testing people who don’t have symptoms, industry changes to their work environments etc etc). However I would assume these measures are having varying and significant levels of success but because we can’t measure this effectiveness it does not give us the big picture of what they have prevented for all different types of human beings.

It’s just fascinating to me that Trump wanting you get re-elected is not about serving his country, it’s about him trying to stay out of a heap of trouble one you goes back to being a private citizen while he, his administration and his family loot and pillage the country.
-
Actually it’s one point.

Demonstrating empathy isn't usually excessive and people feeling bad when other people die can't be assumed unfortunately. I didn't really read anyone specifically joking about someone dying for a haircut but I might have missed it. Maybe citing stats doesn't seem cold to you but if you don't preface it with some sort context it can come across as cold to others. But that may not be an issue for you in how others see that.
