Yup we’re a bit off.

How did that big head of his get into pinball’s office? Did he butter up the sides?
-
The point is it seems not to be a slam dunk he's leaving even if he ends up elsewhere.

So it's not a slam dunk that Collaros is moving on as some posted here. I like it, it's about time the lure of playing in Winnipeg was a good thing.

When we signed ZC, I really thought he wasn't going to last one game due to his injury history. Wrong. He proved a lot of people wrong and came away as the winning starting QB in the 2019 Grey Cup. Perseverance, grit and hard smart work does indeed pay off. The tandem of him and CS would be nice to have next season to evolve it's use. Imagine a whole off season, training camp and preseason to work on it. At least it may encourage more in game tandem use of MN and CS than we have previously done with those two. To me, the Bombers proved a two QB system can work if you have the right personnel.

I’m thinking a lot of coaches are reflecting now.

Trap game. Sorry, always wanted to post that. I'm hoping to see Detroit Red Wings L12 after tonight.

How About that Other Worldly Play-Off Defense?
HardCoreBlue replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Many huge moments but that was huge. -
I like how people are being held accountable for being inexcusable jerkfaces. Hopefully the days of using stupid aggressive psychological and/or physical fear tactics to get someone to produce better are over. i do however hope we find a balance so we don't get into a situation where a jerkface player can be in a better position to throw a coach under the bus when it's not warranted. Interesting days.

Was he offered the Edmonton job? -
My guess is true blue fans care but tolerance levels will vary.

No but if we struggle out of the gate next season it will definitely dull the pain versus many years previous where we couldn’t say at least we won it last year. However at this stage all of this is a moot point because I’m pumped to win it all again next year. Why not?

Yea I'm with you on that. Only thing I can think of is there an interpretation on the severity of the infraction that dictates whether a penalty shot is awarded when a player is clear on a breakaway, i.e., Copp didn't fall down nor was greatly impeded by the hook? I assume not and I assume command centre didn't review this infraction. Too bad a coaching challenge can't be used for scenarios like this.

Lapolice to be name Ottawa’s new HC
HardCoreBlue replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Lapo has many good qualities as a football man but I believe one of the quirks he had as a head coach I believe was control problems, as in not being open minded to other approaches, viewpoints that run counter to his, not wrong but different. I wish him luck (except against us) and I sure hope he has learned to be more flexible and allow people to do their jobs that they have been hired to do. -
Lapolice to be name Ottawa’s new HC
HardCoreBlue replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You could say that for a lot (not all) of coaches of different teams. Just insert different start player names. The point is putting the player in the right position to succeed. Lapo was hot and cold with that. -

A bit misleading yea, considering he didn't see the field much with Lapo's favor for Demski. -
Read a article by Wayne Scanlan about how the Senators 'rebuild' season is going as planned. He also made reference to the Detroit Red Wings and how ideally it would be if they lost every game by one goal, kept competitive but achieved the goal of increasing their chances for acquiring a number 1 draft pick. You can't have both Wayne, keeping competitive but hoping to lose. And is everyone on board with this? The GM, the coaches, the players? Again, I very much dislike this mindset bordering on hate. I get it, I understand why it would make sense big picture, but these articles by certain hockey experts really frustrate the the heck out of me. You play and live in the now when it comes competitive sport not playing for things to materialize years down the road with the 'you'll thank me later' patronizing approach. Imagine a GM selling this to his fanbase? If this is what the Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings were hoping to do this season as a fan of the team I want every thing half price for this season.

Can it also double as a football stadium? Stumps badly need one as well.

Read something yesterday (can`t remember the source) that was quite insightful imo concerning Babcock. This person saw two different people when it came to MB. One when he was at the rink and one when he was away from the rink. Reminded me of the different masks we can wear depending on the situation you are in.

Ehlers watching every one of his shifts last year to learn seems to be paying off. Good timing for us to help offset some of the impacts of our player changes this year.

`Babcock`s fault. Never the player`. Toronto sports media

To date, Jersey in the running for biggest disappointment based on what they hoped at the start of the season. I`m hoping though the Leafs take home that prize at the end of the season.

Cfl.ca staff: VANCOUVER — The BC Lions didn’t wait long to fulfill their head coaching search. On Monday, the team named Rick Campbell as the 27th head coach in franchise history. Last line of the article quotes Campbell saying: “I think the sky is the limit around here. There’s nowhere to go but up.” I know it`s probably not what RC meant but nice kick to DC`s nads.
