I’m a huuuge homer when it comes to the Jets but I can completely understand the frustration Anderson and fans showed after Wheelers ‘filthy’ winning shootout goal. I’m not a fan of how players are almost coming to a complete stop waiting for the goalie to make a move then easily put it away. Doesn’t seem right to me.

Ironically, at least to me, comedy may be helping Will Smith face less consequences of his behaviour by scores of different types of people with influence using meme’s and other mechanisms to make light of a serious situation.

Again being hyper sensitive to calling things what they actually are, instead of saying 7 hour gap of records, call it 7 hours of missing or possibly destroyed legally obtained evidence. That alone is a crime regardless of innocence or guilt of other matters that the evidence will show or not show.

This is a great point. I think it's a reasonable requirement that any proposed changes come with rationale other than saying 'to improve the game'.

I've been thinking about this word base when it comes to the buffoonery we see that has nothing to do with debate and many sides to the issues. If one is part of this buffoonery you don't deserve the word base. You don't deserve any word that softens your buffoonery.

Knowing how some politicians are, ie slimy, greasy, slippery if Brian Jean is successful in ousting Jason Kenney watch Jean change his tone on certain things, pivot when he needs to pivot to appease to a larger base, never really feeling certain exactly where he stands on issues important to a diverse group of Albertans. It has nothing to do at this stage with what he actually will do if he is elected premier, more what he needs to say to get people supporting him. I know politics 101 but still slimy. Being genuine and authentic is not important here. What's important here is getting what I need.

Yup. Academic education is no where near the sole source of intelligence development. It's meant to help one build their IQ and EQ. With this particular person, no such luck. No matter how he likes to appear learned and well spoken and here for the people blah blah blah, he's gradually been hard wired from a variety of different sources to be a genuinely morally and ethically corrupt human being with very little redeeming qualities. And in this case, as in him pandering to the lowest form of humanity, likeness attracts likeness bringing in gobs and gobs of money to line his pockets and his handlers. It's a business opportunity he is taking full advantage of with little repercussion other than social media shaming that ironically helps his cause financially.

Cutting thru all the complex political punditry, thousands and thousands of people killed/maimed/injured both military and civilian (and climbing), tons of infrastructure destroyed (and climbing), financial, mental, emotional, spiritual ruin everywhere (and climbing), mass exodus of people to other countries (and climbing) all because of a self-absorbed idiot no matter how one rationalizes this madman. Human beings, what a species.

Regardless of this dumpster fire and not trying to be a Debbie Downer on your joy here but knowing the knuckle draggers and Magat wannabe's we have milling around these parts with no meaningful purpose in their lives other than being self-entitled dicks and dickesses, it's going to take a lot more than UCP imploding to right this ship.

We can thank social media for giving the platform for people to easily distribute their ‘research’ and have access to a large population of easily impressionable people who then take this ‘research’ as gospel, preaching it across social media with little to no consequence of it being bunk. They yell as loud as they can you can’t censor me, freedom of speech, muh rights, you’re all sheep while e-transferring their money to grifters who could care less about them but think they are great at owning the libs.

How do you know he hasn’t said anything the last seven months outside of formal pressers? And please stop with the judgement. One can dislike what one of influence says. You don’t and don’t see why , fine, I do and I see why fine. All is good.

Followed by adopting democracy whatever losing is not an option, ie everything is rigged if my guy doesn’t easily win and how does one best suppress the vote so other people who don’t look and think like me will have a difficult time voting.

I would add it's not that most CFL fans are resistant to change. We do tend to be resistant to change that seems to be change just for the sake of change and more open to meaningful change with the hope it helps the CFL continuously be a better and more attractable product.
