I'm not sure exactly what you are meaning by scapegoat? Football is definitely a team game (i.e., win as a team, lose as a team) but sometimes focus on an individual player is warranted win, lose or draw. Yes sometimes people can get an unhealthy uninformed hate on for a specific player (s) that can be unwarranted but other times it may be valid feedback/observation that is misconstrued as being a hater. In some cases it's probably not as black and white to understand which scenario is happening when it comes to being critical of a specific player.

I like your idea but needs to be harsher. A players second infraction involves a hefty fine and 3 game suspension. If we are serious about getting blatant head shots out of the game I'm even thinking that the team itself needs to be punished if they have a repeat offender on their team.

Unless he is of superstar status I find these types of contracts really weird and of little sense. See Lucic as a good recent example.It most always ends up by year two, three or four with 'what do we do with him now?' It seems the mentality is I have to sign him longterm to get the shorter term value out of him because some other team will ****** him up if I don't.

I'm really curious to know what others think the Executive/Management team/Coaching staff /Scouting department have to accomplish with this team this year to keep their jobs? Grey Cup or bust? Or something different per area and/or does it differ by what title you hold? I'm not sure what to think other than overall playoffs for sure and get to the show. Need to finish close to top in O and D categories. Is that a reasonable expectation from a lifelong Bomber fan who is a bit thirsty?
