It's getting closer and closer to having the command centre take over all the on-field referring with the use of technology. Not yet, but inching closer. Theoretically with advanced technology today, one could argue there is no need to have on-field humans calling anything. I don't like it because I like us humans calling things without the use of technology sometimes but who knows where this will lead.

There is no way the top three teams in the division should be the position of having to play one another in the first round. The way the playoffs are done nowadays is screwed imo.

Interesting thread Bluto, quite cathartic. 🙂 For me, it's quite easy and nowhere near as well thought out and detailed as yours. 30 Toronto Maple Leafs - You could be watching a game where the Ducks are playing the Panthers and the Leafs will come up in the conversation. The coverage on them and the fawning over them is vomit high. If they went 0 and 82 my life would be complete. 30 Edmonton Oilers/Eskimos - Grew up solidifying myself as a hardcore Jets and Bomber fan through the Oilers/Eskimos dynasties. Now that I live just outside Edmonton and work in the city, my level of pleasure is extremely high with their levels of mediocrity. Its looks good on them. I'm not well liked around these parts showing off my colors evereywhere I go. 30 Roughriders - self explanatory being on a Bomber site. 10 Colorado Avalanche - recently given as I just watched their telecast and it was way over the top homer style. I hope we meet them in the playoffs and pound the crap out of them so I can listen to their groupie commentators commiserate among each other.

I'd like to play the Avs again. After watching their telecast Im really disliking them. I watched the Hawks and Wild telecasts as well this last stretch and they were well done compared to the Avs channel. im hoping our telecasts dont come across like the Avs does.

I don't think they went back on purpose. It really does seem that can't maintain that pace throughout the game, some of them are just plain gassed (and probably injured).

I'll state the obvious but when they play big, strong and fast like they did for the first period very few teams in this league can keep up. I guess they just don't have the energy and health to maintain that pace. I think there is indeed something to the argument about being gassed. The season length and physical impact on their bodies have caught up to some of them. For example Shief looked a half a step behind his normal self. Hopefully they can rediscover that extra gear for the playoffs.

This Colorado broadcast is making me vomit.

I'm watching the Avs over the top pregame show on their telecast. For the love of goodness please break out of this funk and annihilate them.
