  1. Said every ultra competitive athlete with injury ever known. :-)
  2. Again I'm not suggesting trading for Nylander and keeping him. I'm suggesting that maybe the Jets are in a better position than the leafs to flip him to another team (this requires the third team involved in these discussions prior to any trade completed) as Trouba maybe the Leafs number 1 choice but Nylander isn't our first choice. The moons would have to align here for sure for all three teams to benefit.
  3. True but I'm thinking the Jets would make Trouba more available than Morrissey. In fact my guess is Morrissey isn't available at all to discuss where as Trouba is.
  4. Because Trouba may be the best on the available market and his style of play fits nice with the other skill sets on that team.
  5. We just need a cup before he retires so he can erase the one he won with the Hawks. :-)
  6. I'm suggesting the Jets could flip Nylander for someone. A three way deal that benefits all. I'm not sure who that third team would be, but a team willing to take Nylander for a D man.
  7. I didn't realize salary cap included support staff. Is that common across other professional sports?
  8. Both his arms and legs will be in casts, yea he's good to go.
  9. Strategically, i.e., give him the rock both run and pass over and over then mix in fake to him. In no way did I mean use him as a decoy predominately that would be crazy.
  10. Oh yea, forgot about him. Seeing the back of Roh and Jeffcoat jerseys overtop BLM might be a start. :-)
  11. Win field position and turn over battle. Run nowhere near Singelton or at least double him. Max pass protect for Nichois, mix in Streveler a bit more to keep their ends and halfs off balance. Strategically use Harris as a decoy as the Stumpeders will be keying him. DB's have to play stronger and tighter. Loffler is due for a big game. Better special teams play kick off and kick return. Time for Lapo and Special Teams to bust out some new plays they've been waiting to use all year to get us to the show. See you all in Edmonton. :-)
  12. In a perfect world if a coach challenges a play that was no where near the play (and no bearing) they should be charged with delay of game and loss of challenge. I know, not that cut and dry.
  13. I think that is exactly why Chris Jones was perturbed at having to use his challenge on that specific play. When it's clear cut that a mistake was made, coaches get infuriated that they have to correct it with their one and only challenge.
  14. Nope, I'd trade Trouba to the Leafs for Nylander then probably flip Nylander for (don't know yet but assume Nylander's camp has a few teams in mind). Win Win Win?
  15. Don't lead high with the shoulder, form tackle, break down , chest out, face up, rip and wrap. That's what the game is trying to do to lessen head shots. Trying to keep the head out of the game.
  16. Hoeever way better field position for us after they kicked it back to us. This game turned out to be all about field position.
  17. TSN turning points. I'll take it thank you very much
  18. Sinopola might agree.
  19. I loved when they were interviewing Mark Shieifele in between periods where he remarked that his teammates needed to run the right routes. Nice football language. I think him hanging with Harris is starting to have an effect.
  20. And thankfully he wasn't coming in at top speed. Hopefully players will realize this type of hit is no longer part of football. I rarely watch NFL but when I do these types of hits x10 in magnitude happen regularly without calls or consequences.
  21. Very similar to the suspected lateral pass, MOS not throwing a challenge on such a crucial play? Or did Sasky do a good job getting to the line before he could. Did he want to hang on to his timeout that much not to throw a challenge flag? Did any reporter in post game ask that question?
  22. I love how employing a two QB system more than third down conversions is slowly becoming more used.
  23. Because right now his play 5 on 5 is struggling. 5 on 4 his quick release is more uncontested.
  24. BB was really good with his feet but way to slow with his reads. It killed them as our DB's did not have the best game but thankfully didn't hurt us.
