Game 9 : Honky Tonk Blues

Beauty pass by Connor on Trouba's OT winner. -
Game 8 : True Men Don't Kill Coyotes

Raanta didn't play for the Rangers last season. He played for Coyotes. -
Yup not in our DNA regardless of situation.

Too many people gave up on Lulay way too premature. Yes he has health issues but I've always respected his play. His football IQ is extremely high, too bad it was never used in a Blue and Gold uniform.

Game 8 : True Men Don't Kill Coyotes
HardCoreBlue replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I had this thought that it would be interesting to put two scores side by side after each game played. The actual score and the score if each team were successful on all their registered scoring chances. -
Why would you assume that?

Game 5 : Like A Hurricane
HardCoreBlue replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Unlike what's going on here :), this specific game was rare in there were no real skirmishes or big hits to be seen other than Ferland briefly pushing a jet from behind and a Morrisey hip check along the boards. Other than that a very clean game with little violence. Just a random observation of no value other than the game can be entertaining with only speed and skill. -
Game 5 : Like A Hurricane

Ehlers just needed to lift the puck. Their spacing was fine based on how that play developed. Laine could have shot as well. As for how Maurice rolls his lines, it comes down to what he and his coaching staff sees during the game that dictates playing time. You seem to think he's not doing some things he should be in how he needs to roll his lines. I'm not as worried as you are. -
Game 5 : Like A Hurricane
HardCoreBlue replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Actually imo it was well played but unfortunately Ehlers didn't lift it and Mzarek made a nice stop. Why do you have such a hard time with Maurice rolling four lines? The game dictates if you can and it seems Maurice flexes line time when he needs to, not perfectly, but like a professional head coach. -

Trouba looked like one hot mess last night. -

A bit surprised they are starting Brossoit against a hot team. On the other hand smart move to see if he has the goods. -
Three stars plus hh saskasuck edition

I would have preferred if you would have asked him nicely. 🙂 -
I'm not necessarily defending Lapo but name an offensive coordinator who didn't/doesn't have talented players and few stars but still managed/manages a high level of success?

Watching the Eagles Giants Thursday night game. Two obvious back to back violent helmet to helmet hits on the same Eagles running back, no call. Commentators acknowledge the helmet to helmet once but they take the oh well move on approach. Unbelievable.

Did I say sign him. That's why I said 'might' and no I didn't suggest change for the sake of change. You must of misinterpreted my post. With most things in life personally and professionally, we ask this question: 'Is there room for improvement?'. If you are being honest with yourself, the answer is usually yes. If the Bombers went through the progression of looking in depth at what was available to make their club better and came out the end saying nope stand pat. Fine. If they didn't and just said 'Stand Pat' I don't agree with that approach. Because most of us don't work for the organization we don't know what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to what their continuous improvement approach is

But with EJ, for some reason, change of scenery (ie anything but Montreal) might ignite him. Never really got that feeling with Bowman.

Around The NHL 2018/2019
HardCoreBlue replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
One of one million things on a hourly basis we see about the Leafs on TSN: Where does Matthews rank among the best in the league? I officially want to see the Leafs fall flat on their faces with things like: What's wrong with Matthews? Has the Taveras ship sailed? Barf. -

One could argue he is being underutilized with his offensive talent. I'm not advocating to bring Carter here but our organization does have to look at all options to make us a better football team. -

MoreJeff Jeff Hamilton on Twitter Weston Dressler leaves practice after getting tangled up during a 12-on-12 drill. He has returned but is only watching and won't be available to the media so it's not good (yes, im fear mongering). #Bombers At this point in Dressler's career and where we are at in the season, why do we even put him on the field to practice. Hit the stationary or something. -

Speaking of Carter, putting aside his personality for a sec, and if we only look at this as we are all in to win, would he make our football team better for our drive stretch? I'm wondering how many teams are sniffing around the Argo's for a potential deal? -

If I'm playing the Riders, I'm telling my QB, don't throw hitch passes, screens, anything anywhere near Jefferson. If anything set him up for it (i.e., fake pass) so he loses contain. -

As much as I hate the Riders I saw it different. Thought it was too close to call. Jefferson is a beast. Guy you hate but would gladly take on your team.

Yup not a good combo.
