  1. Other than if its a cap issue that we have no way around, why on earth would we give up a unique player like Myers. Yes he at times can be scary with the puck but his pros greatly outweigh his cons I put him into the same category with as Buff with unique skill sets of his own. Why give that to another team. We are a better team with him in the lineup.
  2. Too bad both these teams couldn't lose this game. Despise them both for different reasons. Be a good game to see Johnny M. Hope both offenses falter and Johnny M comes in and throws game winning TD against Carter. 10-3 final for the standings.
  3. What a weird response from you suggesting we are sheep and don't care whether we win or not . Why do you even come on here?
  4. I wouldn't say they stepped it up a notch. If anything I'd say they broke even.
  5. The way I look at this is teams are just trying to catch up to us. We are a top four team already loaded with talent. We lost Stastny but his loss, we were good without him. Why fix something that isn't broken. Tinker yes but don't sell the farm.
  6. As I'm here in Alberta and don't regularly watch/read local Winnipeg media, has anyone interviewed Hall on his thoughts about the game? Or does O'Shea keep his assistants away from the media? Because I am definitely interested in how he would break down this one hot mess of a showing.
  7. High ceiling? Okay then, I'm no goalie expert but he seemed to suck as an oiler but hey hope he's awesome for us.
  8. It seemed in some cases there was more than a three yard cushion when they took that seven yard out on the flat. Maddening to watch over and over and over again.
  9. I'm sure he"s a great guy but here's hoping this blows up in their face. It's going to be so sickening listening to them gush even more about Matthew's and Tavares.
  10. Well I think it's quite straightforward. We inserted new players in key positions to suggest it was lack of execution and not coaching/schemes. Three games in not looking good. I'd say by the sixth game if we see it continuing with no significant improvement time to take a different direction with the D coaching. Players are never absolved of their responsibility regardless of whose coaching but with what we are seeing so far with having new additions with the same overall results I'd say the pendulum has swung more to something amiss with the D coaching approach. We can still right the ship if after three more games nothing improves. The clock has started, the pressure is on, no more excuses.
  11. Yup but you never stop supporting the team, that's how it works. Frustrating yes, maddening yes but that's directed at individuals not the Emblem. Once you (not you) stop supporting the team, you've turned in your Bomber card and you're (not you) not allowed to get it back when things get better.
  12. Yup but every bad loss we incur reminds us it's been twenty plus years without a cup. We usually cool down though by Thursday and get optimistic again.
  13. Most of us know it's not all the D but how many 2 and out did our D force? The O did sputter but hard to get in a groove when there are long stretches of time in between when we have the ball.
  14. Unfortunately he has trouble hanging on to the ball though. If he can clean that up with better ball security I'm all for inserting back into kick return
  15. There's the lure though for the higher skilled guys wanting to play for teams willing to do that. They want to be one of those 3 guys.
  16. Yup large market teams make it very difficult for small market teams to thrive. 'Hey it's great to play here' is no match for 'that brinks truck out there is for you'.
  17. It would be interesting to hear the conversation between O'Shea and Hall going over game tape. Im sensing a lot of D players are being inserted under the bus and not his schemes/adjustments. Probably a-lot of 'I drew it for them to be in a position of success, they didn't execute'. Classic coach statement when the heat is on. Sometimes its actually true but in this case excuses are running thin for coach based on his body of work over the last few years.
  18. Someone also needs to talk to Loffler. Loffler's mindset is look/play for the kill shot when form tackles would be more effective. I believe his current mindset is negatively influencing all other facets of his game he is responsible for other than crushing people. E.g., The Tabbie RB made him look foolish and picked up an extra 7 yards because of it. Loffler is going away from his fundamentals and its killing him.
  19. pound the ball with Harris against the wind. Harris catches fire when he's profiled. mix in some QB sneaks. My armchair qb is in full swing.
  20. wideside flat open all half. Hall needs to force Masoli to look inside.
  21. Trust the process. Trust the process. Trust the process. Amen.
  22. Unfortunate for any athlete. Hope he can resume next year if thats his goal.
  23. As well, the young up and comer football fans like my son (14) share that sentiment. Not good if you're trying to attract the younger generation. Make a CFL video game already.
  24. Some of us are just feeling good about the direction this team seems to be heading. We're allowed. It's been a while. No, we're not mapping out the Grey Cup Parade route yet but our mindset is changing from 'next year is our year' to 'this year is our year'.
