I'm not suggesting Tanev belongs on the second line but Tanev has 6 points (31 shots) to 7 points to those three combined thus far in these playoffs. What have those three shown in these playoffs that warrants second line play? Did Tanev impede Laine's play last night? I didn't see it.

Tanev almost scored on a great individual play. Regardless of the line he plays on, at least he puts it all out there on every shift.

What would be a refreshing thing to see is if the pee knights do score the first and maybe even the second goal of the game, we come back with a flurry of goals by overwhelming their 'hey lets clog the nuetral zone, we're up by one/two'. Enough with this 'we've scored the first goal, batten down the hatches, form a wall and look for a lucky break on a counter'. Lets break that cycle of crappy boring hockey. Lets find a formula that dismisses that strategy.

For the most part (sans reference to the leafs) I actually enjoy their analysis of the game, especially Kelly Hrudey. He knows the game well regardless of era.

Gameplan: Quarantine Tuch and Marchessault, park Stastny and Lowry in front of Fleury, have Buff do his thing, more breathing room for Connor to play his game; Laine and Shief find their sweet spot on the ice, Helle positioning picture perfect = we win. Easy smeezy.

Subban's dive and the penalty on Morrisey was especially brutal. Morrisey made a great defensive play. I hope Laine gets his feet back for the upcoming series he's lapsing back into being too stationary. Seeing Subban at the end bang his stick at the bench brought joyous tears to my eyes. You would think the series with the Knights will be speed versus speed not this neutral ice crap the preds threw at us. Good riddance to that.

I'll state the obvious but we need to dictate how this game is going to be played right from the start. I agree with your point about our in-game adjustments but the goal is to have the Preds thinking what they need to do throughout the whole game. The first 10 minutes will tell us what Jets have shown up for this game. Hopefully it's the Jets we saw that smack downed the Wild from start to finish not the Jets we occasionally see that are tentative and flat.

Have faith, we're going to win the seventh game. The two best teams in the league are slugging it out now, as much as we wanted it over quick, going seven in this series was predictable. Watch it go into OT for the seventh game, how stressful will that be . . .

Does Frank Seravalli have inside information to confirm Paul Stastny is strictly a rental or is it just logical speculation? I don't know really why but using the term rental players is irritating to me. Yes I know chances are he goes to highest bidder or back to the Blues but to headline his article saying Paul Stastny has been the ultimate rental player is a bit premature no? Right now to me he's a Winnipeg Jet that was acquired at the trade deadline.
