  1. Who do we have a better chance to win with: Hutch or Mason when we sit Helle? Arguments could be made on both sides. Another good problem to have.
  2. Secure a playoff spot then rest him?
  3. This brings back some memories.
  4. Stastny's line looks better coming out right after Scheifele's line.
  5. I'll take making the playoffs and playing anyone but if I had a choice, this is a team I don't want us to face, at least in the first round. They schemed us well last game we played against them. They almost drew up the perfect blueprint in how to neutralize our talent.
  6. Or using him like a rented mule.
  7. Wheels just texted me and wrote, 'We haven't made the playoffs yet.' :-)
  8. There are teams after the Jets?
  9. I didn't suggest it was a circus. Absolutely agree with the bold part of your sentence. However we can disagree on how much effort we need to spend on convincing. Imo, we need to set a professional courteous tone yet a tone of we spend a lot more of our energy on players who want to play here. Nothing wrong with a player being curious about the different organizations and needing to take care of himself and his family but balancing that with we are team made up of players who want to play here not a group of individuals with different priorities. I'm not necessarily saying HM is a self-absorbed guy because I don't know him , I just don't want people who only are about themselves, won't help with what I'm assuming Walters MOS and crew are trying to solidify. I was just using this scenario with HM as an example. I assume as an organization we are trying to create a culture, an identity where players, coaches, scouts etc want to be here and less we have to try so hard to convince people to come here. That's all.
  10. Paul Friesen: Turns out Alexander Steen brought up the idea of Paul Stastny wearing No. 25 for #NHLJets. Steen's dad, Thomas, wore it back in the day. If true, cool. Thomas Steen was my all-time favorite Jet and had the most awkward interviews during his playing days.
  11. Coming from a feisty attitude, 'If I have to woo someone to play here, get the f@@k out. We take care of people who want to be part of this great organization not spend our time and energy on convincing you. Go somewhere else if you feel that self important'.
  12. Morrow better than Poolman?
  13. Yea considering I have him in my hockey pool, I'd agree with you.
  14. How many people, when he said that, thought guiltily: 'If only'.
  15. Thornton and Burns will probably introduce him to how things go there.
  16. I'd stay away from Maroon. Very cold/hot type player and moreso frigid lately.
  17. A two year deal with a bit, as in a fair amount, of a pay cut? Maybe Wheeler can smooze him.
  18. Would it be such a bad thing if we didn't bring in a rental guy for a couple of months then have him leave in the off season? I actually don't mind cutting against the grain and not doing the usual bring a guy in for the playoffs. If we did bring someone in, I'd rather it be we know he'll be with us next season. Just my preference as a fan.
  19. 'They're a fu@king good team'. Well said.
  20. I love MP's suit with it's fanny pack. Awesome.
  21. How about drinking in the fetal position emoji?
  22. I'll raise your crying emoji with a weeping one.
  23. Hmm lets test this. Lets take the best GM in the league (insert who you think that is) and pretend he has Ehlers and Laine on his Jets roster. Then lets ask ourselves, would this best GM in the league trade these two players for Connor and Roslo who play on another NHL team? Imho if he does make this trade, Nuefeld for Babych becomes the second worst trade in Jets history. *Yes I'm overstating and yes I like Connor and Roslo, but Jeez Louise.
  24. I think the opposite could happen instead. Knowing teachers are armed may add to his excitement and encourage the murderer even more in carrying out his plan.
