If we play Minnesota in the first round, we need to really watch the January 13th, 2018 gametape and combat the blueprint they drew up in beating us 4-1. I remember watching that game and thinking this is exactly how you defend against our team,, i.e., clogging the middle, disrupting our neutral ice speed and set-up. They did it almost perfectly that game. At the end of the day though, bring on whoever.

Watching the game last night made me think that inserting press box guys itching to play in the second game of back to back games might be a viable strategy to use throughout the year and not just once you've secured a playoff spot.

I know Goalie will disagree but Tanev has shown on two plays in this game why he is such an important piece for this team. 1) Covering on Defence and making the play and 2) putting his body on the line and blocking shots. He is a player made for playoff type hockey. Hope it's just a bruise.

And he also made clear that him shooting cortisone on the bench is purely coincidental. There is a way better joke in there somewhere but this is all I could think of.

My guess, and it's only a guess, some of them didn't have any to start with to check in. For some of these people, they can't blame Trump in who they are.

Our borders are the safest they have ever been, Air Travel safety is at all time best due to this Administration. We are putting our adversaries in their place with the toughest sanctions ever. We are redefining what the Nobel Peace prize should really mean. We have put the free back in press and no longer accept untruths and made up news. We have reclaimed our priorities. We have turned the traditional incompetent system on it's head, weaning the existing entrenched establishment that has put our great country in disarray far too long. They have been put on notice. We are holding these people accountable. We have only begun the purge. America first, God Bless this Country, God Bless it's people, God Bless the Second Amendment. No you're right. I'm just talking about if you are being completely outplayed on three on three MAYBE the shootout will give us the better chance to win so hang on for dear life with some defensive guys. But yea go for the win in OT.

True but depending on how the OT frame is going and how the coach (es) are reading the play, at times it could mean you want more defensive awareness on the ice to get us into the shootout. It's not the first choice for sure but it may be an option you need to employ to give us the best chance on getting that extra point if the ice seems to be tilted in their favour.

Back in the day that would have been seen as a small miracle, huge accomplishment. Now it's, 'oh oh, the wheels are falling off'. It's hard to accept success sometimes. :-)

I thought I heard this year that the schedulers were making sure on back to back games both teams were coming off a game the night before? I guess not in this case.

Dunno about that. If true, you wouldn't think it wouldn't last this long into the season. Gallant and crew have got them believing. Nonetheless, maybe they tank in the playoffs and shite the bed next year, who knows. However nothing is trending right now to suggest that though.
