From those in NJ for #NHLJets morning skate— Steve Mason is day-to-day with lower body injury so Michael Hutchinson is headed back to join the team. Sara O Mason can't seem to catch a break this year.

Controlling for opinions on what people think Trump has achieved since his time in office, one part of all this chaos for the last year and some that I'm fascinated with is the debate when asking the question: Is it as important in how things are achieved to what is achieved? It's interesting to read and hear the full spectrum of opinions on this in relation to Trump tenure thus far. In my opinion, I'm a firm believer that the how we achieve things is just as important to the what we achieve, more than just how the law/legislation/policies etc dictate how we can or cannot behave.

In Trumpland......even the lawyers....need lawyers that will need lawyers. :-)

Who do we have a better chance to win with: Hutch or Mason when we sit Helle? Arguments could be made on both sides. Another good problem to have.

I'll take making the playoffs and playing anyone but if I had a choice, this is a team I don't want us to face, at least in the first round. They schemed us well last game we played against them. They almost drew up the perfect blueprint in how to neutralize our talent.

I didn't suggest it was a circus. Absolutely agree with the bold part of your sentence. However we can disagree on how much effort we need to spend on convincing. Imo, we need to set a professional courteous tone yet a tone of we spend a lot more of our energy on players who want to play here. Nothing wrong with a player being curious about the different organizations and needing to take care of himself and his family but balancing that with we are team made up of players who want to play here not a group of individuals with different priorities. I'm not necessarily saying HM is a self-absorbed guy because I don't know him , I just don't want people who only are about themselves, won't help with what I'm assuming Walters MOS and crew are trying to solidify. I was just using this scenario with HM as an example. I assume as an organization we are trying to create a culture, an identity where players, coaches, scouts etc want to be here and less we have to try so hard to convince people to come here. That's all.

Paul Friesen: Turns out Alexander Steen brought up the idea of Paul Stastny wearing No. 25 for #NHLJets. Steen's dad, Thomas, wore it back in the day. If true, cool. Thomas Steen was my all-time favorite Jet and had the most awkward interviews during his playing days.

Coming from a feisty attitude, 'If I have to woo someone to play here, get the f@@k out. We take care of people who want to be part of this great organization not spend our time and energy on convincing you. Go somewhere else if you feel that self important'.

Would it be such a bad thing if we didn't bring in a rental guy for a couple of months then have him leave in the off season? I actually don't mind cutting against the grain and not doing the usual bring a guy in for the playoffs. If we did bring someone in, I'd rather it be we know he'll be with us next season. Just my preference as a fan.
