2019-20 CFL Offseason
I think Pinball cleans house from top to bottom, puts his stamp on things. Nothing untouched.

WSF: Bombers @ Stamps
Technically Gaitor quit not cut. What was MOS thinking on switching Gaitor to? The bench?

Rick Moffat twitter feed: 'Asked one of #Claybrooks’ players if Coach had a mantra or fave saying he preached: #FIFO. Fit in or ____off. He’ll won’t be unemployed for long'. DC's mantra doesn't fit with everything in life but I think it's an appropriate saying in football for the most part. :-) I met Ed Hervey some years back when my son was playing peewee, nice guy, knows football but at some point he is going to run out of mulligans.

Game 15 @ Vegas
Maybe, maybe not depending on the scenario. Evaluation on players defensive game ultimately comes through game tape.

Byfuglien contemplating NHL future
Tires kicked, I've moved on.

Byfuglien contemplating NHL future
How about kicking the tires on a guy like Seabrook who has been a healthy scratch in Chicago? Too old, no good, too expensive or veteran presence with skill, good short term pickup that we wouldn't have to sell the house to get?

True for some athletes for sure however I'm seeing more and more headlines highlighting how teams are saddled with these large longer term contracts but not getting the benefits like they use too. Bobby Ryan as a most recent example. I would say freaks of nature players like Chara are still more exception than the norm. When a player is in his prime we are seeing some teams willing to give said player longer term contracts knowing down the road it will be a risk. It could be in some cases GM's living in the right now turning their head away from the future consequences of giving out a long term contract. Nature of the business I guess.

It appears this is becoming standard where if you want to lock up a player during his prime you also have to pay for his twilight years i.e.the Lucic years.

Man, Teemu Selanne looks good. What every professional athlete hopes to have when their careers are over, i.e., all their faculties in order.

Saskatchewan @ Edmonton
Especially Petermann imo. He earned his stripes and isn't being rewarded. Stands on the sidelines missing out on important reps for his development.

Saskatchewan @ Edmonton
I'd put Derel Walker in that category as well.

Game 12 vs Calgary@Regina
If that wasn't a high stick, I don't know what is. I guess your stick has to be straight up according to who ever made that ruling.
-
Game 12 vs Calgary@Regina
Unbelievable. Does the stick have to be at a 90 degree angle to get a high stick?

Game 12 vs Calgary@Regina
Our pk really sucks.
