  1. First bold, don't know how you know that. Second bold, you mean college football teams not colleges right? Because there are colleges that offer leadership courses with hope of developing leaders. Not too mention the fact that college football teams more than likely help some young men become leaders whether they mean too or not. That's the great thing about football. Ultimate team sport.
  2. Trying everything you can do within the cap to retain your solid core players (re Dressler, Chick, Shologan, Smith) even it it means shortchanging something else and rebuilding from there makes more sense to me. But I'm not the mastermind here, Jones is. I'm sure it will all work out. Next year by this time Jones will be doing his 'I told you so' speech.
  3. This I agree with you. In analyzing human behaviour, there are a lot of arm chair qb's in our midst.
  4. Right (Although I don't agree with your use of the word wildly) but so is every other science, like medicine for example. You simply can't right it off. You can question and disagree but you can't right it off because of it's limitations. If one does that then be consistent with every other science.
  5. Not correct. Tier one/two/three Universities teach people how to do it (i.e., qualitative research methods). I can guarantee you NFL teams have people on staff who strictly look at leadership and interpersonal skill sets among their athletes in a very rigorous, systematic and methodical way. As for CFL teams, due to limited resources, not so much.
  6. The defense is playing better because they believe in Nichols. :-)
  7. Having the ability to lead is a nebulous concept? People have made careers in studying this issue both sport and non sport.
  8. On the Adams no call, his one hand chest grab on jersey is no longer hand fighting, not that I'm complaining. On Cox's, I couldn't tell whether there was a grab.
  9. You gave them three points with THAT kicker?! Sheesh.
  10. Which it has before which makes this win no more no less satisfying because of it.
  11. They should have had an audio on me. Wasn't pretty.
  12. That's hilarious, I saw the same thing but never thought about that way. It's like the ref said, oh okay, and bam calls Sask on it.
  13. Having Willy come off the bench if need be is a fairly nice option though. Who knows, maybe Willy is better suited for that role.
  14. He really is open most times. But he's so shifty and fast and as a QB your timing needs to be quick and decisive. If Nichols and Dressler start to get some chemistry, wow.
  15. I absolutely have no guilt for that bad pi called on Sask. Our front four were being mugged all game imo. But that's definitely a hardcore blue fan talking. I'll take the win and I'll take it next week as well thank you very much.
  16. My guess is Jones sold it (and is currently selling it) as it will get worse before it gets better but will be all worth it.
  17. The tandem that concerns me is Durant to Bagg. We shut that down, goodnight Irene.
  18. First in our division baby. A guy can dream.
  19. And knowing how these LDC games usually go for us, he'll also rumble in for a touchdown off a Nichols fumble juking out Harris for the score. Here's to breaking our curse, Go Blue!
  20. Yes so at least hide him on the perimeter with the hope of blown coverage and/or pi.
  21. I know just saying as some get upset in not knowing.
  22. Why not play McDuffie at WR and move Dressler to SB? Seems to me McDuffie's strength is his speed so it sets up a Banks type option for us, i.e., seam route. Worked for Hamilton.
  23. Sure as a fan I'd like to know but I'm not going to give MOS a hard time on this, why tip your hand to the opponent. Makes it harder for them to prepare.
  24. Yes I'm aware, but why try to cheap out on proven talent? Right, rebuilding specific parts that didn't require rebuilding.
