  1. Totally agree, got to give him a chance to work it out, it's more of figuring out when that chance to work it out is taking too long. For example, looking back at the tape of last nights game, in hindsight would SM say he should have pulled Kilgore maybe end of 3rd quarter?
  2. Fair enough though could keep arm warm while watching, Sometimes I think they don't actually have the proper mind set when their on the field and needs to be reset by coming off for a few series. But do understand the risks you highlighted in doing so. That's why the great coaches get the big bucks.
  3. I was in that boat as well. Finding that line when you need to pull the QB versus let him work it out is where Coaches earn their salary. I still think bringing the starter to the sidelines for a couple of series to reset himself and watch the game from a different view isn't done enough imo.
  4. I like how Bond brings an attitude to our team and when Richardson went down late in the game displayed his sportmanship. well done. Side note: ****** bag Toronto defender telling the Bombers to keep away from Richardson because the game wasn't over. Whatever.
  5. Don't forget Moe Leggett.
  6. Absolutely that happens, good point however in this scenario you present management, with Coach'd influence, still had the choice of signing the vet unless of course the Vet had unreasonable requests in being resigned. In other words they weren't forced to start the rookie, they still had the choice not to start the rookie.
  7. This statement is way to general. My observation is this, sometimes, is not as black and white in they way you presented it. Inserting a rookie doesn't just happen when there is no other choice, at least that's been my experience.
  8. That is a really interesting debate to have. Thanks for raising.
  9. Actually I'll give you this in the spirit of limiting any hypocrisy on our end. As an example Mike Kelly does not represent what our organization stands for. But at this Moment Chris Jones is not doing your organization any favours and unfortunately for your dedicated fan base, he's representing the Saskatchewan Roughriders at this moment. Sucks to be you.
  10. I tend to agree with you. I like professionals with conviction balanced with being flexible. He obviously wants the big chair. Any GM/president of hockey operations spots available for him? As an employee, there's a guy I wouldn't want to see Monday morning being introduced as the new boss.
  11. I think what he doesn't get or doesn't accept is having a say in things and making the final decisions on certain things don't go hand in hand all the time.
  12. Okay, fair enough, so let's say it's true. I'm assuming that came up in his job interview with Walters and company (because another assumption is O'Shea researched the existing roster to prepare for the interview) and for him to do his job well, there was an upgrade needed and that hasn't happened till now. I'm assuming. I get the argument but it's always a tricky thing to prove as a black and white argument. It's called shared accountability, blame I think for the last several years would be nicely distributed.
  13. Yes, it's funny because after I wrote this, I thought to myself I should have said, 'like the roughy fans saying everyone else does it' . . . :-)
  14. What I find amusing is when people use the argument that 'the other candidate, the other person is as bad or worse when it comes to the above said behaviours'. Okay, that makes everything fine, yeesh. Regardless of what side one supports, I'm embarrassed for us humans when this 'argument' is used to explain things away.
  15. Again just my opinion based on his behavior to date, because of his bravado and brazen approach to the game.
  16. This couldn't be happening to a nicer guy. This looks good on Jones. Yes petty, but still feels right. He comes across as someone who thinks he's bigger than the game.
  17. Maybe someone knows this stat. What is Pavelec's career stats under Noel versus Maurice? In the media he has heaped praise on Maurice and has thrown Noel under the bus suggesting he wasn't getting the best out of his players. I don't seem to have as much disdain on him as you do but my issue with Pavelec, and it's just my opinion, is he thinks he's better than he is and it's not just him being confident. Doesn't come across to me as a great team player, but that's just purely an educated guess based on game play observations and media soundbites and not being in the dressing room and part of the internal discussions. Not to mention the fact most Goalies are a bit off anyway, Carey Price being the exception.
  18. Yeeeeeessssssssss!!!!!!!!!!! 3-0 win against USA. Wow!
  19. Great call, yeeesh. Actual: 1 Hunch: 0. But hey, all good for us plus the schmoes continue to lose!
  20. This is a baffling statement. Reporters need to ask him, but if you do win, then what?
  21. Unfortunately I see the Schmoes bouncing back big time with this one. Just a hunch but I sense a blowout.
  22. His throwing style seemed different as well. I'm sure a lot of Rider fans are missing Dressler Smith Getzlaf Trio.
  23. Matt Dunnigan put it well last night about having that Killer instinct. I was thinking about sportmanship and easing off when we were up 34-0 but as soon as Matthews threw the ball in the end zone and Fantuz kicked the ball in the stands, I knew right there, no feeling sorry for the opponents, play like it's 0-0.
  24. And what was nice always broke the first or second attempted tackle.
