  1. What does that even mean? Myers is a quality D-man with a unique skill set when healthy.
  2. You strongly disagree with what?
  3. The number 1 is placed in front of two people. The question is posed: What number is that? Person A says Number one. Person B says Number two. Person A is befuddled and says no it's a number one. Person B says, here we go again, people going to their default position with negativity. It's so demoralizing. Personally I'm getting more and more worried about this. We need to shut down this approach before it becomes a norm.
  4. Yes I'm well aware you can't force someone to stay. If that's how it played out, sure makes sense ($ and pecking order) but the obvious risk we're taking is overrating Dom Davis if something goes awry with Nichols. I have a feeling if Nichols went down for some reason last season, we would have seen Glenn regardless of 3rd string status. Anyways, now that he is with Sask I hope him nothing but good fortune with a 0 and 18 record.
  5. Which is why I'm perplexed that we let Glenn go.
  6. I'm sensing sarcasm but that's all right. Go Jets Bombers Go.
  7. Why be so antagonistic and accusatory? I don't see what that serves. Up to this point the discussion was civil.
  8. Said every Quarterback that played football :-)
  9. I'm with you on that explanation, my post had nothing to do with you and what you posted here, sorry if you assumed that. I was just talking in general, like if someone responds to that post by saying 'look at that other person, they are worse'. Doesn't make the original post content any less impactful.
  10. I don't think the talent is the primary issue here, it's more when the going gets tough and based on Jones and Carter's demonstrated behaviour over time, how will that play out between them and with other Sask players? From a HardCore Blue Bomber fan's point of view, I hope it plays out where I'll feel the need to get me some popcorn.
  11. And imho, from a respectful conversational point of view and regardless one's political and social beliefs, it's high time we all try to get away from the 'yea, but that person/those people are worse' response. I'm sure I've been guilty of this tactic over my lifetime, but I'm trying to improve on not taking that approach. It's counter productive. We need to address the issue at hand that was raised, whatever the side of the fence it's coming from. Once we do, then move on and address any counter claims on their own. As my mom always said to me, two wrongs don't make it right. End rant.
  12. For the love of goodness, when is Myers back? Myers: 'Coach, I can't even skate'. Coach: 'I don't care.'
  13. Penalty Shot, too deep in his net.
  14. I understand that but that wasn't the call the ref made. Also, one could argue Buff was playing the puck. Moot point though, game, set match for our Jets. Tough loss.
  15. So have I. Totally disagree. The ref assumed the play before it happened. A big no no for a ref. I do agree with you about Pav playing the puck. And the Shark player made that penalty shot look easy. Ugh.
  16. Wow, I'm with you. Rarely, rarely do I ever pin as much influence on the ref but after watching the third period I'm befuddled. Not only with the penalty shot, but how does the ref blow that whistle? Call goalie interference but why the whistle? It was too quick for him to say he lost sight of the puck. Oh and I wish someone would have clocked Burns. Someone needed to stand up for Ehlers in what Burns was doing to him. Someone needs to tell Thorburn instead of randomly picking fights for show, challenging players like Burns when he's ragdolling our smaller players is what he is there for.
  17. Random thought. We trade for Jake Allen, give him a fresh start. I'll show myself out.
  18. From a serious point of view and not coming from any political stripe, this passive aggressive approach to packaging facts is very very troubling to me. Chuck Todd, in his words, was befuddled. This is exactly the intent of this approach. To befuddle the other. I agree with others who have said the way to combat this is to immediately shut down the conversation and wish them a good day.
  19. Our up and coming Martin St.Louis?
  20. She's given me an approach when I'm losing an argument or telling a fib. 'No I'm not wrong, we aren't lying, I'm presenting you with alternative facts'.
  21. That won't help your cause.
  22. Not necessarily, to a certain degree, disagreeing with you, but for me personally I wouldn't want to shut down good fan rivalry discussions/taunts/trash talking etc. I don't care what the Rider Site does in how they administer their site. All I care about is we don't tolerate posts that are meant to truly hurt demean. I was thinking the other day of starting a topic in the general discussion about what people here think about posting their real names. I think that would help diminish the absurd posts but I do recognize the risk about the crazies getting hold of our real names and doing their crazy things. It would an interesting discussion to have though and read different perspectives in this.
