I don't think they went back on purpose. It really does seem that can't maintain that pace throughout the game, some of them are just plain gassed (and probably injured).

I'll state the obvious but when they play big, strong and fast like they did for the first period very few teams in this league can keep up. I guess they just don't have the energy and health to maintain that pace. I think there is indeed something to the argument about being gassed. The season length and physical impact on their bodies have caught up to some of them. For example Shief looked a half a step behind his normal self. Hopefully they can rediscover that extra gear for the playoffs.

Yup didnt absolve players responsibility as I mentioned but I'm guessing it's not the only thing that ails this team of late. Winning or losing in stretches of time usually, not always, has to do with a variety of things going on that need to be addressed.

I agree, however I would think an element to the Jets woes of late is other teams have found a useful blueprint in how to play us. Therefore, added to the players/coaches responsibility of team unity/cohesion is the coaches ability to come up with a blueprint of their own to stay ahead of the oppositions approach.

Wow what a frustrating game to watch.

It's a cliche but Jets need to get back to the basics, get pucks to the net, go north south. Shoot shoot and more shooting. Quit trying to pass and stick handle to the back of the net. Lowry's line is our best line right now.

Let's hope they get swept first round so cbc commentators will have nothing to talk about till June.

I know hindsight is 20 20 but man why not call a timeout when the Islanders tied it up with a minute and half to go and slow things down and refocus.

Watched my first AAF game (last part of the 4th Q and overtime) this past weekend between Memphis (?) and someone. Johhny Football had one series. My bias for the CFL game has me go Meh even though Memphis (I think it was Memphis) came back from two scores and won it in overtime. Overtime is set up that the offense starts at the opposition's 10 yard line, can't kick a field goal and must go for the 2 point conversion. I believe they said it goes until someone wins. No ties.

You're probably right but ideally that's the best scenario. However, I've always said just make the damn playoffs. We did so don't care really who we play at the end of the day. Just another opponent we need to win four games against.

Ideally the Coyotes in round 1 would be the best scenario imo.

I'd still sit him until about our 2nd or 3rd last game of the season then dress him to get primed for 1st round.
