What would a knowledgeable and informed response be from a dedicated base of Jet fans if management stands pat with their current roster? I'm currently trying to think of one if this scenario unfolds and not one consistent answer comes up.

I think in part its believing their press briefings a bit too much. Get back to constantly feeling they have to prove themselves mentality. Mark Scheifele alluded to this before this recent tailspin, i.e., can't call us contenders just yet. Teams aren't laying down and playing dead for us.

Why? What I heard was, yes you have to give up something to get something but if we don't sign Stone after this season, to give up Roslo with the way he is trending up could potentially put us in a worse position than we were before we dealt for Stone moving into to the 2019/2020 season. We gave up 2 picks and Erik Foley for Stastny. Ideally imho we don't take anyone out of our starting lineup to acquire a rental.

Also hard to justify breaking up the chemistry between Wheeler and Scheifele.

Wasn't Johhny M the worst of all most played QB's last year statistically? When I looked up the 2018 QB stats it seemed to suggest that unless I looked at it wrong.

If Carter only focuses on how to be a consistent elite receiver in the CFL and he develops some chemistry with Mike Reilly . . .

Probably, but I think Johhny may feel a lot of pain this year now that opposing Defenses have a year under their belt in what to expect.

In all this frantic frenzy I reminded myself that Montreal starting QB remains Johnny football. I'm not sure about the argument that Sasky is the worst off when it comes to this position.
