  1. Yea, Shea Weber looks a bit out of game shape.
  2. True but still doesn't change it.
  3. The Bryan Little injury is probably a bigger frustration than anything else because that really changes the look," said Maurice . I think this sums up the woes with our Jet team to date. Absolutely, depth is important but it's not an even swap here. When significant pieces of a starting roster aren't available (Little, Trouba), it has such a domino effect on the look of the team. Lets hope this new look can at least manage until we get our pieces back (or a similar facsimile).
  4. I also have a feeling (hope?) that Smith steps it up in the playoffs to calm any nervousness in keeping him in the lineup over Gurley.
  5. Hope he's okay. Hope it's just being cautious.
  6. No, not really.
  7. Morris Lukowich looked in great shape, holy cow.
  8. Ralph Nader missed his chance. :-)
  9. Regardless of what one may think of him, some teams would welcome Stafford into their lineup. This makes him an ideal candidate to include in Trouba's trade package to get what we need. I just don't think we are going to see a one for one trade with Trouba.
  10. My guess is Chevy and crew are showcasing him as a line number 1 winger to illustrate his stock as he'll be part of the Trouba trade package.
  11. I guess I'm one of those people. Should he not technically be on the ice as he's still under contract?
  12. IMHO, I'd like to see Tanev getting third line minutes.
  13. Having no experience in this world of workout supplements or performance enhancing drugs, is it a difficult process in certain scenarios to fully understand what specific ingredients are in the supplement I'm taking? For example, are manufacturer's not labeling clear enough? Is this a concern for athletes who don't want to cheat?
  14. Leaning on my heart, not my head, I still believe the Jets make the playoffs this year. No way we lose faith after three games. Once the Trouba situation gets resolved, the Jets take off.
  15. And Ben Cahoon. The guy was money.
  16. Thanks very much SS. 'Davis is still 2nd option at QB' I'm somewhat surprised by this. Wouldn't Glenn be our better option 2 at this stage of the season?
  17. Elite doesn't mean world beater and what an odd thing to say about me. You underestimate Tyler Myers and what he brings to this team. He's one of the reasons the Jets are close to being a playoff bound team. Yes he has weaknesses but he's a special player that's fun to watch. You seem to have this pretty intense disdain for him that seems to be misguided and a bit weird.
  18. He's 26 years old just hitting his stride. Plus he brings a lot already, so your question implies underachieving which I would suggest not. He has more to give but already brings a lot, so waiting isn't much of an issue imo. Right now with what he has now, he could be considered elite. He is not your average NHL d-man.
  19. I can't see the Jets trading away Myers unless Chevy is forced to or another GM hit his head and offers up something ridiculous. Like I've said about Buff (whom we locked up long term), Myers is a special player with skills, size and reach that don't come around to often. Why give him to someone else? Imo, and it's only my opinion, some posters here underestimate Myers. He still has more to bring to the table. I want to be the beneficiary of that if at all possible.
  20. By the title of the thread, I assumed it was about Kohlert playing better. Glad he got the ball back. Should put the ball in a mantle at the Bomber store with the the trick play being played over and over again. One of the best trick plays I have ever seen the Bombers execute.
  21. Well, imo he brings a physical presence to the team, he never takes a shift off which can rub off on other players especially the rookies, he's shown a bit of offensive ability, he's not afraid to plant himself in front of the net, he seems very good in the locker room that one can't underestimate. That's what I've observed over time However, in order to get a factual answer from a hockey expert who knows the Jets inside out, you'd probably have to see if Maurice and/or Chevy would answer your question of what he brings to the team. Because they obviously see something in him that you aren't seeing.
  22. Play of the year to date hands down.
  23. Just hope he lasts the game.
