I get what you're saying but we are told ad nauseum that professional sport is business and in the business world the literature, the major thought leaders stress to stop running your organizations like you're family with one another because that's not how high performing organizations effectively run.

And this is thing, it's not hating on these players as some put it, it's the frustration (at least from some of us) of thinking we could field better talent at these positions (with the greatest respect of course). I'm sure these two are great human beings but c'mon loyalty is great until it's a detriment to the goal and mantra of the team.

We need another Chris Walby type color guy with crooked fingers wrapped around a mike providing perspective from the 'hogs' point of view. That was entertainment at its finest, especially in cold weather games.

I know he did a sit down a few years ago and really opened up about how multiple concussions have really impacted him both mentally and physically and how these behavioural changes concussions have caused have impacted his relationships with his family. I grew a whole new level of respect for him in how vulnerable he was to help others. Or putting it another way: Riders suck. 🙂
