  1. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again but a large portion of that core revenue of seat sales is corporations who then comp the seats to their employees, customers etc?
  2. Obviously taking care of the fan on the street is nowhere near an actual priority (other than providing easy access to over-priced alcohol, food and team merch) as the fan is not their direct and best revenue generator. Ticket sales by the fan on the street is still a necessity for the CFL.
  3. First kick-off- fumble recovery, Touchdown First kick return - double reverse, Touchdown. First offensive series, 85 yard pass and catch, Touchdown First defensive series - pick six, Touchdown First reality check of the season - after each one of these predictions don't happen. Go Bombers.
  4. Fine, got me on a technicality but the Oilers and Leafs and everyone else suck except us even when we do.
  5. Ahhhhh excuse me, this is an exclusive Winnipeg Jet Winnipeg Blue Bomber club. It’s going to royally suck at the office today.
  6. Here I’ll help with morale. We’re the Blue Bombers. Imagine being any other team. Yuck.
  7. I'm actually hoping Strevs reps is not just a result of ZC struggling but more incorporating some creative 2QB schemes (not just short yardage) while driving the ball down the field. Put the D on it's heels from it's toes so to speak.
  8. Back in the day you'd slide in a big bodied physical linemate to help free-up some room for highly skilled slick with the puck players in open spaces like NE and KC. The problem is the space they had in the regular season is perfect for their skill sets until the playoffs arrive then that space is cut in half and they struggle with adapting. Having a guy on you a half a second quicker than what you're use to is huge.
  9. And when injuries do occur how good their depth is, how many plug in and play guys they have helps determine how well they can do moving forward. With our Bombers last year, the debate was not playing depth and its level of impact on the games outcome.
  10. The way we should end every post on here. lol. Da Bombers.
  11. Read the transcript of his press conference introducing him as the head coach. One of his answers he provided was he's looking for a 5-10% improvement next season with the Jets. Regular season, playoffs, both? What exactly does this mean? Knowing I'm missing all of the public convo's had with SA to date so maybe this was already addressed in detail in some other media forum but wouldn't the improvement be win the Stanley Cup? Maybe address the specific things/improvements they need to do to not only make the playoffs but to be a successful playoff team? 110 points in regular season is fantastic but means nothing if you're wiped out quickly in the first round.
  12. A usual response to that poster. Shots fired. 🙂
  13. Love the guy but that would benefit the Argo's, soooooo nope.
  14. BD is such a hard guy to cheer against, HC talent or not. In an ideal world RedBlacks take the East which realistically ain't going to happen.
  15. Yup perfectly placed to the opposition.
  16. Wow, thanks for these reminders. Good grief. Every time he touched the puck, nervousness set in.
  17. Yup and safe financially too as I don’t think Arniel commands a salary like other well known HC’s currently available for employment.
  18. His horrible locker sideline presence and it’s influence on others is underestimated by some imo.
  19. Now I'm starting to wonder what the relationship was between him and Brind'Amour.
  20. You forgot Argos. 🙂 And as a gentle reminder, Leafs suck.
  21. I'm remain fascinated when teams get eliminated in the playoffs, sure enough some players come out and discuss the injuries' they were trying to play thru and in most (not all) cases a round about explanation of why their production dipped in the playoffs. It's got to be tough to be a coach as you have depth who are ready to go at 100% and need to weigh that with a starter who is operating at less than 100% and that less than 100% can be sometimes quite significant. And if you go with the injuryed starter the message you're sending to the depth guy is he's better than you at 60% (I made this percentage up) than you are at 100%.
  22. Oh for sure and I know I'm simplifying this probably a bit too much but it's not him being terrible at football, he's a pro, it's his conditioning which consistently shows it's ugly head quite quickly during opposition O drives.
  23. I'll take a stab at that. Yes. 🙂
  24. Sorry for stating the extreme obvious from the couch here but JT's conditioning is very worrisome where his performance level drops very quickly after just a few reps. Hands on hips happens very quickly for him. That can't be good and not sure what other intangibles he brings to the field can override this.
