  1. Yea where did said person get that we signed Dukes? I couldn’t find it anywhere searching on the World Wide Web though I did learn the earth is flat and vaccines cause autism. Who knew.
  2. For the brief amount time he was in while ZC was getting his fingered reattached, his poise in the pocket was looking good but you’re in-between his ears will be his next big challenge.
  3. His arm strength is what caught my attention immediately.
  4. “20”. So we’re counting? As long as it’s under 20 per day about CS not the same as JT is your argument. Yes quantitatively it’s different but no qualitatively there is a similarity/trend.
  5. It’s interesting to me that a few posters here run cover for Jake Thomas and get frustrated because we talk way to harshly about him over and over again but then do the same thing by consistently coming in hot on CS questioning his ability. It’s funny how we can see things differently when watching certain players.
  6. Proper bring the key word here.
  7. Just on that one save alone in the third should have garnered a star for DB's fishing buddy.
  8. The Caps are in a perfect position. One of the top teams in the league with none of their players selected for this gimmicky tourney that is smack dab in the middle of the season risking injury. Call me crazy but I’d rather hear the Jets win the Stanley Cup than Canada won the four nations tourney. But that’s just me.
  9. Fair but if he ain’t hurt now let’s use him to his full potential just like every other player on the team we probably should try to do as strategic as possible. Keep em guessing on both sides of the ball.
  10. Hope Buck took his decoy plays with him to BC and we actually deploy CS more than just short yardage and gimmick plays. Reasonable? Would like to see him in his fur coat stogie in mouth celebrating this coming post season on Portage ave
  11. Or to put another way, BC sucks.
  12. Yup. Everything starts in the trenches and works out from there. This is not an overblown issue.
  13. As most of us thought BLM was cooked but proven wrong last season, the big question mark for me with BLM is can he replicate it yet again but also get the team into the playoffs?
  14. And now he's appealing. In an appropriate scenario the judgment would be: Appealed denied. Suspension increased to 20 games. Please appeal again and see what happens.
  15. I love your zen here. The chamomile tea must be working.
  16. Your last sentence sums it up nicely. No hate, just reality, tough decisions, tough love part of the role of a professional coach unfortunately.
  17. FFs, what are you, twelve? Truth hurts neener neener neener. Jeebus, I thought I was the toddler around here. I don't care who you cheer for but it would be nice if it wasn't the Jets/Bombers, I'm not really wanting to be clumped in your group in how you describe the Peg.
  18. Here's a random thought I had walking the dog last night packaged as news. Protect **** Van Dyke at all costs. The man is a treasure we need on this planet.
  19. Your response here was wayyyy too kind especially with this person's mimicking Trump speak (ie sh*thole). I was writing something out way more direct but deleted it. All I'll say here is go cheer for another team then, I hear the Golden Knights regularly take on new fans, transient as they are.
  20. I think that's way to harsh to say, I think a more tempered response is his greatest strengths as a coach can sometimes be his greatest weaknesses as a coach. Please don't hurt me. 🙂
  21. It seems based on what I've heard from MOS when interviewed, with certain players (e.g., ZC, JT, BA) its not about thinking their back-ups aren't capable, its more his admiration for these certain players as human beings and what they have accomplished on and off the field that trumps the need to sit/pull/release them. As he regularly stated more than once post game when asked about this issue of changing out certain players and/or should have started another player he said that thought never entered his mind pre, during and post game. That's telling. Oh and we are lucky to have MOS as our head coach but the man does, like all of us, have his quirks and foibles.
  22. Similar to the Bomber organization, winning, respectability, being a first class organization will help (not guarantee) draw talented hockey players who view compensation/location as not the only criteria in where they believe is best suited for their and their family needs to ply their craft. At the eod tho lots and lots and lots of money can drown everything else out and with the rise in the salary cap, small market teams like our Jets might want to invest even more in their scouting departments.
  23. Balanced with the fa approach to loading up, how about we go out and find ourselves another type Lawler and I know they aren’t plentiful to find but that’s what professional scouts are paid to do and I’m not expecting perfection just a good ole college try.
  24. Depends on the issue and the approach used. If it’s a plan and push approach - little collaboration with minimal voices. If it’s engage and co-create approach - lots of collaboration with multiple voices.
  25. You have a great way of presenting your perspective as fact. Cuz if we did have him (not that I would have wanted him) MOS wouldn't have brought him in anyways so we would have never known just like what would have happened if he brought in Wilson and/or Dolegala. Don't know and never will.
